Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation
Here goes...Goal: Lose 25 pounds
Already Lost: 8 pounds
17 more to go...
I workout 4 times/week --cardio and weights...I think I am going to start working out 5 days/week...I also am really trying to watch what I eat and have been limiting my bread and pasta intake!
Realistically I would be happy losing another 12 pounds and not 17...
Good luck to everyone!

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation
OK.. well, first fitting is on Saturday, wedding is in 8 WEEKS!!Goal: 8 to 10 pounds(8 real ones 2 or 3 stress ones)
What I do: Work out everday sometimes twice.. unless something gets in the way. Goal is to make sure I am exercising a minimum of 6 times a week- whether it is an hour work out (short) or complete workout- two hours
Diet: I follow a strict diet where I eat like 1000 to 1200 calories a day, 1200 only on BAD days. Balanced meals with all food groups represented.
Where I am at: I have been doing the gym off and on- been hardcore for a few weeks now-- the diet I usually follow all the time- but have been more strict lately. I have not really seen the scale move-- but, I have intensified everything lately so I feel like I will start to see a difference soon as it is more of a drastic change.

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation
Great thread...and great timing...I just got home from Rhode Island and 3 days of crazy eating...My goal is to lose 10-15 pounds by April/May. I'm not getting married until November, but I want my spring clothes to fit!!!
I will continue going to the gym 2x a week, plus 1-2 more times. I will keep running 4 miles each time I go.
I will eat better and stop eating because I am bored. I will eat less snacks/bread and stop thinking about food!
We can all do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation
OK, here goes--Goal- lose 10-15 pounds by May
Eating-I really like weight watchers, but my problem is eating healthy. On weight watchers, i can eat mcdonalds and still lose weight. While that is wonderful, I really want to start eating healthy for myself. Also, I am going to try not to eat after 7:30 or 8:00
Excercise-I just started Tae Bo boot camp. Boy, did it throw me for a loop. I was hurting today, therefore I could not even do it. But I WILL do it again tomorrow
Good luck everyone!!!!!!!!!

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation
Oh I am so jealous of all you motivated girls!! I am NOT motivated, and can't imagine having time to work out in addition to everything else going on. FH's make it so difficult too!! My FH can eat whatever he wants and not gain a pound. Of course he can work out while I'm at work(he's a teacher) - and I have no time to! It's frustrating:( At least I have 9 months still...but I need to get in some kind of shape because I just feel blah:(

Re: 05 BRIDES Weight Loss Motivation
Ok5 weeks til my first fitting
12 weeks to the wedding.
My IDEAL goal is 20 lbs by the wedding, but I'll keep it at a more realistic 12-15 (1 lb per week is healthy right)
Pilates 3x a week w/ extra hour of cardio
TONS of water (b/c I drink NONE now)
No junk food........

OK- I REALLY should start this now...
My yearly membership to Curves is up on March 11th (but I moved in October, and do not go to this new one like I used to go to my old one) so I will see if Ladies workout express RIGHT NEAR ME is good... If not, will search for another gym, to see if I will ACTUALLY go...
I NEED to eat better also... FH is NO help, and that makes it hard... he won't eat healthier with me, and It's a pain to only prepare for one...I will try to convince him.
*Ideally* I would like to loose 20-30 pounds.. but Realistically I would like to loose 10.![]()
suezboss - Ladies Workout Express is really good! I joined after they started a one month free promo for brides. I currently have a free membership at another gym until May, but noticed I get a much better workout at LWE. I highly recommend it. Let them know you're a bride and get the one month free promotion! Bridesmaids & Mom's are included too!
One thing I really like about them is each month they weigh you, take your measurements, fat % and BMI. What motivation that is!!! I can't wait for my first month!!!
Ok...here's my scoop!
Started for real about a week or two ago.
Wedding is 8 months away
and I need to lose 40-50 lbs to feel comfortable...I got a LOT of work to do!!! Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!! I'm going to check back often!!! I joined WW last year and lost 18 lbs, but put some back on when I stopped. I'm trying to stay motivated by myself w/out going to meetings, but going helps 100%!!! I'm also working out 4-5x a week. We'll see.....
