Just wanted to mention this..Maybe you should call Sallie Mae and tell them that you don't want anything done online. Meaning..I just did a forbearance for myself the other day and was able to do an electronic signature online. If this girl does this, and electronically signs your name, it may be tough to show forgery, when she could possibly say you were sitting next to her and signed it electronically. I would call them and tell them you don't want anything done with this account online, all forms must be mailed and signed, this way if she does forge your name, you'll have it on paper!

I am so sorry about all this. What a horrible witch. How dare she even suggest you pay for her loans. I would have her *** in court today!! Make sure you save every e-mail she sent you, because after reading them, she admits to a lot of stuff in them, like lying to the loan company, I think thats illegal!! I hope this gets resolved, and this girl pays for being such an idiot. Plastic surgery should be the least of her concerns, they don't care what you look like in jail, which is where she should be!!!

Yes, I absolutely did that - alerted Sallie Mae that she had not contacted me to sign any form. I even had them note it in her file that I had not been contacted. They are assuming she will send it in w/o my signature so it will not be processed - but I really think she will forge it.

She still has not contacted me about the forbearance signature she needs.

I plan to have her arrested as soon as possible if she forges my signature. The best part is my lawyer will do this for little or nothing since she knows this woman (I got her a job working at my lawyers office a while back) and my lawyer dislikes her too. Lisa borrowed $3K from my lawyer but that was subject to a promissory note. She paid that loan back though with interest.

Sallie Mae does not settle accounts so they will not accept any amount to take this debt off of my credit report. Lisa has not returned any of my messages nor any messages from my lawyer.

Her account is 35 days past due as of today. I was told that in 210 days (unless I make her payments) the account will be reported as in default. She owes $358 as of 12/20/04.

She has not filed the forbearance form although she paid a $50 fee on 11/9/04 to get the form processed. She needs my signature but has not called to ask me - and I have not moved or changed my phone number since 1997. She does have until 12/9/04 to file the forbearance form but either way, the late payment will be reported to credit bureaus in about 5 days.

So, instead of saving for a wedding for 10/10/05, it looks like FI and I will be paying off a student loan that neither of us got to use for a degree.

FI is so great. He told me he will just make the payment for me (some automatic deduction from his military check). He is so fabulous. I told him no though. It's not that I can't make her loan payment I just don't think I should have to since that was NOT the agreement we had when I helped her get that loan. I'm so angry with myself. That's what I get for being nice.

No good deed goes unpunished.


ETA - I plan to sue her but my lawyers says she likely has NOTHING that I can recover with a judgment since at age 44 (her birthday is 12/9/04) she still owns no house, apartment, car and obviously can't even pay her own bills. From what I gather, she lives in an SRO too (rooming house or something)?!!?!?!? I contacted everyone I know that also knows her. I even contacted a Villanova Law Professor but he has not seen her since 2002. I just want everyone she knows to realize she is a lying, deadbeat witch!

That really, really sucks that you have to dip into your wedding budget for her lying a$$. I wish there was something else you could do.

No, she can't unless what you say is false... but if all that you are saying is true, she cannot sustain a slander claim

Please take the high road. Dont bad mouth her to people that are in her circle. That may have consequences that you probably may not have thought about. And the you'd probably end up feeling bad. DO it the legal way.

I feel SO sorry for you! She must be a real psycho to trea youy that way, and the plastic surgery financing. that's just too damn much. I don't know what to tell you, but I'm glad you have a loawyer, and amke sure you sure for every penny you lay out! You so don't need this right now....I hope she gets caught in her phony forebearances and gets disbarred.

She muct have $$ somewhere that you don't know about , b/ she's paying for college somehow ((unless she's d(cking someone else over), and she got the loans for her plastic surgery, and theoretically she's going to pay them. I can't believe someone with a law degree, who is 44 years old won't step up, get a good job and be an ADULT..sounds like a professional student to me, at everyone else's expense. I'm SO sorry

I don't know if this helps, but ask sallie mae if they have access to programs like 'fast data' or other people finding programs. Also try web sites (I think one of them is peoplefinders.com). Especially since she has applied for credit recently, it is very possible for them to locate her.
