i read this on msn but i missed the thank you one. seriouly a week, is she nuts?? i say for a bridal shower, 2/3 weeks is the minimum, but for a wedding!! she is just crazy!!

i'm just re-reading some of these and i have to ask, is the wedding for the bride and groom or the guests?? seriously, if i had to take into consideration every guests personal request - i wouldn't have a mass, too much kneeling the ceremony and reception would be at the same place - possibly simutanelously, to lessen my poor guests aggrivation about driving from one place to another.
give me a break!! these are all just too much

I think Walter is too immature to understand.

That 'saying hi thing'...isn't that what a receiving line is there for? I can only imagen that it must be difficult for the bride and groom to say a personal 'hello' to every single person when they are either being pushed onto the dance floor or in front of a photo lense, but I am sure they will do their best. My parents warned me that at their wedding they did not even have time to eat!

oh man, the 'it stinks with the B & G are too busy to come by and say hello'...we missed a couple tables and at end of the night, 1 couple approached us to say 'we wish we would have had a chance to say hello to you'

We really did do our best. I know we visited most of the tables, but then people would walk over to talk, or ask us to come out on the dance floor. So, there just wasn't time.

And the 'awkward table'. Crap. What do you do with the 'odd' people? 1 HS friend. 2 college friends. 1 former neighbor

eta: the couple who made the comment about not getting to talk to us skipped our ceremony. That's when we had our receiving line.

Gripe 6: Class act.

Gripe 4: On the far side.
'I hate when there's a long distance between the ceremony and reception. I went to one wedding where the ceremony and reception were over an hour's drive apart from each other and no transportation was arranged. Im getting married about 45 minutes away from the reception hall cause its the family church and means alot to us...Im getting so upset by these

I can see this one from both sides. As a bride, finding not one but TWO places that are suitable is difficult. As a guest at an out of town wedding, this is a real gripe. When you have no idea where you are and the reception is an hour away and you have already been driving 4 hours to get there, you are not a happy camper. But you do what you gotta do.
