My aunt and uncle had about that long to plan their wedding. They started looking in January and got married May 22.

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
Yes, the dresses should be ordered ASAP though, because there are sometimes delays.I bought the sample to be safe. It was clean, beautiful, MUCH MUCH cheaper and I had it right away.

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
I'm plannnig my wedding in 5 months as well, and so far I got so much taken care of already.I think with less time, you're under more pressure so you end up getting more done in less time!

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
Finding a venue is the hardest. The rest is cake. you just need to be organzied and this website is a tremendous resource for that! Good luck! I am planning mine in less than 6 months!

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
Hi, if you need an extra month or so, the Majestic Gardens has June 24th 2006 open. The price is considerably lower for the same reason. They had a cancellation......mine! Let me know if you are interested. They do one wedding at a time, and I thought it was beautiful. FM me w/any questions. Good luck! And Congrats!

It is totally doable. I booked my hall in August, and all but video was done before Christmas.

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
It can definitely be done. I planned my entire wedding, start to finish, in 6 months. And if you already have your reception site, you are way ahead of me!Check on this with your officiant if you already have one before you say yes, same with any of your vendors. If they can't provide you a service on that date, they may charge a fee for cancelling.
Definitely get your dress ASAP--give the shop an earlier date than you need the dress. They will probably give the designer an even earlier date. They should be able to tell you if your dress will be ready in time or not before you purchase it.
After the dress, or at the same time, start looking at photographers if you don't already have one. They book up really fast. Music you may have a bit more time with.
Good luck!

Re: 5 Months to Plan Wedding?
Thanks for everyone's response and encouragement. I definitely will look into the reception hall that's offering the cancelled date. In fact I will meet with them New Year's Eve to check it out 'cus I'm so excited. I'll give everyone an update. You guys are awesome!!!/Eden
