6 months to go...how do I stay calm????

Hi Jessica: I HEAR YOU! My wedding is 5 months away and every time I panic, I sit back and say what can I do now for the wedding. So I start folding my programs, wrapping more favors, etc. It completely takes my mind off the stress and it goes away. I pull down bible readings and such and plan my ceremony. I made my favors, programs, etc., so it's keeping me busy. Take a deep breath every time you get stressed and picture you and your fiance at the altar. I guarantee a soothing calmness will come over you. Play some slow music (piano) or start picking your selections and listen to them often. This really helps! Sometimes makes you cry too!! --- BUT! not a stress cry. LOL Good Luck

I was wondering if any of you other guys and gals have this situation...and what you're doing about it.

My fiance and I both live in an apartment with little need and NO space for anything more. Certainly, there are a few big ticket items (like a better vacuum cleaner, etc.) that I'd love to register for, but we have everything else for the most part...to live in the cramped apartment.

Take time out for yourself and spend precious time with your fiance. After visitng a vendor go to dinner or maybe go out to breakfast before... You may want to make it a rule not to talk about weddings on Sundays, or only do wedding errands on Thursday through Sunday. I'm a wedding consultant and I know how crazy it can be. Good luck and keep calm.

Good luck, Mark

One caution on hyphenation - a friend of mine has recently been ill and has spent many months in and out of hospitals. Her medical records are constantly getting lost because, depending upon the clerk, her name is entered under the first name, sometimes the second name, sometimes both with the hyphen. Its been a real problem and has caused stress when she has enough to deal with already (she has cancer).

For everyone that has the wedding jitters, it will pass, this is the most exciting time in your life and there is no way you can prevent this... I am studying to be a bridal consultant now and I can see how much it truly entails... You will be fine, just keep writing yourself lists and crosses off as you go along- before you know it, it will be the big day, have a professional do your hair and makeup and off you go.... remember Breathe

You are so lucky to be able to use them! Peonies are so beautiful and the colors are great! You probably have a choice of the softer colors if it is earlier in the month.

Martha Stewart uses peonies alot in her bouquets, look at some back issues or better yet she has just put out a compilation of the last few years of her wedding magazines. It is in the book stores now.
