For me that was true. We had been to all these beautiful weddings outside and I was tempted to do that. But My DH was always so hot and uncomfortable, at those events, even on a 70 degree day. He did not want any part of the wedding to be outside on a hot day. So I realized that he has to deal with enough discomfort in his life as a diabetic (juvenile diabetes) and I may as well make sure he is comfortable on our wedding day. So, we had a November wedding!

But instead of explaining all of that to people who asked WHY WOULD YOU WANT TO HAVE IT IN THE WINTER? I simply told them that he did not want to sweat his balls off. Those people didn't deserve to hear the whole explanation anyway.

Is there ANY month that we can get married in and not hear it???

AND dont people realize we are FULLY aware of the seasons!

yeah when i told everyone i was getting married in 2008- why are u waiting that long - u guys were together for 3 years & now you're waiting another 2 years- i was like do u want to pay for it- u know weddings are expensive- they also said i think u should get married next year- i'm like gee thanks for telling me when i should get married

This has been probably touched on before but I have to rant about it anyway cause it really really bothers me!

I hate when people who barely know you from a hole in the wall ask how much you are paying for the wedding!!!!!

I've had a few people at work do that to me and I think it's SO $%&* RUDE!!!!!!!!!

I have heard all of the above questions. I can't believe how bold people are to ask stupid questions. But my all time favorite so far is:
' Did you take our busy time into consideration when picking your wedding date'
(background info: At my job the last week and first week of every month is our busiest time)
I am sorry, but my job is not my life, so I think I can pick any date I feel like picking for my wedding. Thanks girls great topic. That has been bothering me for the past two weeks. I feel like I am doing something wrong if I get married on 4/28/08.

I'm sure everyone on this board can agree with me that we ALWAYS get the line 'But why are you waiting 2 years to get married?' UGH when people ask me that it gets me so mad!! I think waiting 2 years is such a good idea since weddings can be sooo expensive and I have such a better shot at getting the vendors I want then if I was planning my wedding for next year!

I can't stand it when my mother complains when I spend time with FH!!!!

Today she went to Atlantic City with my father and my aunt and uncle. I had some stuff to do (and finally had a day to myself) so I called FH and asked if he wanted to run some errands with me.

My mother just got home and is yelling at me for spending the day with him!!!! According to her I'm not married yet and therefore should not be spending and entire day out with FH(we only went out around one oclock by the way). Mind you she went out for the day and left me a list of things to do around the house and errands to run for her!!!!!

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!

sometimes I just can't stand her!!!!

What is she going to do after I'm married???

thats great!! sometimes you cant help yourself you have to be a kid any say those things back to them...after a while they make you crazy (they being ten year old girls!)

i get 'honestly august is so hot, everyone is going to be so uncomfortable'.. it got so bad i almost changed my date.. anddd i wont mention any names but..i got wind after we got engaged that when someone found out we booked our date they turned to console another family member and said 'two years..dont worry you'll be married with kids by the time they get married' sooo obnoxious!!! ps they are both still not engaged!

i feel bad for people like that! if you are happy in your own relationship you NEVER need to compare yourselves to everyone elses!!
