Re: A-Rod Goes 0-5!!!

Yes but i wasn't denying how good A-rod can be...which is what you wanted to explain to me.

I think Andy would definately stayed if givin a contract and it was rude the way he was treated. And i think that is reflected when Clemens signed with the Astros

with Pettitte, the Yankees pursued him but didn't make a TRUE run at him.. Torre could have called him, etc.. he didn't; neither did George.. and Andy just wanted to go home.

Re: A-Rod Goes 0-5!!!

Well they spent all this money on this A-rod, they better pick up a good pitcher because they will go down in flames...

Just like the money well spent on idiot Giambi...SHould have kept Tino..

I just hate when they spend money on these 'power players' and for what....Giambi hasn't done S*#@!

Re: A-Rod Goes 0-5!!!

Really? He's probably the best short stop in baseball - and imo, they should have moved Jeter to 3rd and not A-Rod. But it's only been game 2 of a long season...I'm sure he'll prove to be worth it. He's always been a great player - which would explain why George went after him.

Jordan, I think the only reason they kept Jeter at shortstop was because of Torre and the players, mostly Torre. Torre made him the captain. If you move him to 3rd, away from the position he's had all this time, it's almost like an insult and might upset team chemistry. Jeter and A-Rod have a past, they didn't want to add to it. Someone like Pinella or Valentine would have moved Jeter in a heartbeat

A-ROD was a total waste of money....

Yeah A-rod is great but it was and always will be Jeters position, its his team, at least it's becomign that way, A-rod wasnt brought in to be short stop...

I say this as a Met fan - it was ONLY GAME TWO. No need to poke fun so early...especially with the Yankees record.

A Met fan that I can respect. Thank you for stating exactly what I wanted to say as soon as I read this post.

I was right there with you during the WS last year... (there were a few of us those few days)

I guess deep down, I'm a NY fan. I was a Yankee fan until '84 - when I went to my first major league b/ball game...at Shea. Much to my father's horor - even though it was all his fault! LOL

Respect a Met fan.. possibly a Yankee fan
but definitely not a bleacher creature... lol

my fbil started in right away obnoxiously when I first met him.. insulting the Mets back and forth.. I got the rep as 'the good guy' in the family... he sees how much I love my team and baseball.. and he's been better.

Not me -- my entire family, aside from my father, me and my wife are Yankee fans and we get tormented all the time
