Re: A sunday night wedding?
Can you do a Friday night wedding instead? It's still cheaper and no one has to get up the next day.

Re: A sunday night wedding?
My brother had a Sunday night wedding and they had to pay for an extra hour because no one wanted to get off the dance floor.I am also having a Sunday night wedding, and the same band as my brother!

Re: A sunday night wedding?
I struggled a long time with the same thing and i am going with a Sunday Wedding those who love you will be there dont worry ... also Sunday wedding tend to end a little earlier the only people who may mind are the out of town travelers....weddings are alot of $$$ for just one day in the end youll have the memory of your wedding not the day that it was on...
Good luck with your decision

Re: A sunday night wedding?
I wil be having it on... *shock*.... tuesday! Thats the dy FH picked. Summer solstice...the longest day of the year. And he asked me to marry him on the winter solstice...shortest day of the year. (I guess to brighten up the day with the least amount of sunshine!) So to me, it's the DATE that is important, not the DAY! Whatever works for you, thats what you do. Like everyone said, if they want to be there they will!

I found Friday night to be slightly more affordable! You might want to look into that as an option! It depens how late sunday it would be too!Good Luck!

Re: A sunday night wedding?
We found Sunday to be much less expensive, and like others have said, it's over at 11:00 so people can make a choice not to drink like fools. We didnt choose Friday because a lot of people couldnt go to the church at my nephews wedding. I think a lot of us would have liked a Saturday wedding in June, but it just isnt possible! You'll have a great day either way!!!!

Re: A sunday night wedding?
Dont worry about haing a Sunday night wedding. It is cheaper and if people really care they will be there and not worry about the next day of work. A suggestion is to try to have it on a holiday weekend.

Re: A sunday night wedding?
Do what you feel you REALLY want to do!I've considered Sunday and Friday, but before I was even engaged I KNEW I wanted a Saturday night wedding.
Let's be honest ladies.....
Yes, of course the people who love you and can't wait to celebrate with you will be there no matter what..
But, you tell me - when you open an invitation and find that it's a Sunday wedding......
What's the 1st thought that pops into your mind?
If cost is an issue - focus on Friday.

Re: A sunday night wedding?
What about a Sunday afternoon wedding rather than Sunday night? Then you won't have to worry about people leaving early.

Re: A sunday night wedding?
Honey, don't stress over what your folks are pushing you to do. In the end, do what makes you and yours truly... HAPPY!!!If that means you have to save some more money... wait a little bit.
It seems like it's taking me forever, but I will have the wedding that I want!
Good Luck!

Re: A sunday night wedding?
It will be fine...but I wouldn't push FH on marrying in May, he has good reason. With the $$you save for a sunday you can add on things to the wedding you may not have had with a Saturday.Welcome New Vendors
