If you had an opportunity to have the wedding of your dreams, all expense PAID - would you do it?
Catch - its for a talk show! and you have to pull it off in 2 weeks!
Wow.....am I the only one who can't say yes??
I'd have to say it depends. There are certain people that MUST attend my wedding and if they could not get to the location (NY, VA or otherwise) I would have to say no. Unless of course the all expenses paid includes bringing in out of town guests for free so, for example, my sister (single mother of three) could afford to come w/o having to save up for a few months for all 4 of them to afford to attend.

Re: ALL EXPENSE PAID WEDDING!
It would have been great to have someone else foot the bill but I really don't believe you can have a dream wedding if its televised. There are just too many things you have to compromise b/c of the cameras, their schedule, their needs etc. Anyone who has seem any event televised can tell that the process is extremely obtrusive and unatural (IMO). And the fact that it all has to be done in two weeks would mean missing out on so many things and having to do without a lot of what I found wonderful about getting married. But that is just me. Im sure it would be quite an experience.

Re: ALL EXPENSE PAID WEDDING!
Nope. 2 weeks isn't enough time for me. I've been engaged over a YEAR, I have 7 months til my wedding and even THAT isn't enough time for me

Re: ALL EXPENSE PAID WEDDING!
Yes, without a minute's hesitation! and I could bring in OOT guests who have trouble with air/hotel etc with the $ we'd save!Plus...it would be very different than others and, I bet, we'd get a fabulous video!!

Re: ALL EXPENSE PAID WEDDING!
Brides - cross your fingers, I will know if we were selected today.KD - I definitely am concerned that key family members may not be able to attend. My FH family is in England, my grandparents live in South America and my mom is on vacation in Costa Rica - but they said they will fly all out of town guest in ...
But I still have my doubts. Stef - I am concerned if I will lose the intimate, personal aspect of MY wedding. But we are now trying to pull off a
budget
wedding that will cost more than $40K
. So it will definitely help, if we can save that money and invest in something else. Will keep you posted!

My bestfriend is a producer at the show so they considered that to be a conflict of interest. It would have been a fun process but oh well.
