Almost going crazy!

Well...there's less than 5 months left and I feel like its never ending. My fiance is only somewhat helpful. What's more difficult is that i'm doing this from out of town. Also, i'm a graduate student in chemistry (getting my MS) and am close to finishing so my time is well occupied without worrying about the wedding! I must admit I thought it would be more fun than this. And I didn't know that weddings could be sooo expensive! Hangin' in there though. All I want to do is get married already! I'm glad I found this website though because it has been very helpful. I've used it to find most of my vendors! The only one I need help with now is hair and makeup. Any suggestions that aren't too expensive? Thanks so much everyone!

We ordered our wedding rings tonight. They'll be ready in 10 days. We used the same jeweler we purchased our engagement ring from....he's done business w/my cousin for over a decade so we trust him.

Paul chose a relatively plain band w/detail on the edge - yellow gold. Cost $70. Mine? Well, in order to match my engagement ring, it is a relatively thin white gold w/7 princess cut diamonds across the center. Cost? $550. Sooooooooooo much more than I wanted to spend but within our budget b/c Paul's was simple & inexpensive. Paying cash - no tax.

Almost going crazy!

I can feel your frustration-- I am completing a masters program as well and we decided to wait till april of next year to get married because that is alot to do all at once-- as it is now we have finished planning- have the church/reception/band/photographer and videographer booked and I don't want to think about another thing(unless of course I have forgotten something major) especially since I am in the midst of finals-- where are you planning from? where are you getting married? This website has helped me as well-- our budget is non-existent at this point-- all my money disappears with each deposit we put down!!! but in the end we will have the best night of our lives!!! if you need to vent feel free!!!

Almost going crazy!

Hi. Good Luck with school. I am getting to the point now also that I just want to get married already. We have 7 months to go. And I have planned it all in 2 months. My best friend got married last June and she used Terri from Glamour @ your door 795-0144. I am going to use her as well. She does makeup and has a hair dresser. They will come to your house the day of the wedding. They will also do a trial. The makeup trial is I think $35 and the day of I think is $60. I am not sure of the hair prices. Give her a buzz. She is very sweet and does a great job. Good Luck!!!! Keep in touch

By the way - I noticed you chose Full House for your band - I was also interested in them. If possible could you please forward me any info. you may have or any recommendations for other bands. Thanks!!!

Avoid the hassle and stay away. Anyone know a good favor store?

Almost going crazy! - MEE TOOOO!

My wedding is in less than 3 months and I'm nuts, frantic that I forgot something - even with my checklist. I too want to just get married already! Sometimes I wish I did a destination wedding, but I know when that day comes, I'll be so happy. I know you're doing most of the planning, welll, you are not the only one. I have planned my entire wedding by myself with an okay here and there from my Finace. My maid of honor (sister) has two small babies, my other sister just had major surgery and my mom is busy with the both of them, so I just do it and don't ask for help. It's amazing how far I got, but it's hard when you're doing it alone, BUUUUTT! when I walk down that aisle and I enter that reception, my head will be high because I know I did this alllll by myself and everyone who couldn't help will see how much it really took. I mean that in a good way, not spiteful. Good luck and you're not alone.
