i don't think he's guilty of maliciously hurting or intending to hurt kids...
i think he's just mixed up...he doesn't really seem to have an understanding of how he should behave at his age

Sorry but I respectfully disagree with you on this one. He is acting in the classic manner of a pedophile. What he is alleged to have done is no different that what many, many Catholic priests, amongst others have done to young children. They used their position as either a sacred figure, entertainer or even just as an adult, to convince young children that they were in some way 'helping' them. Then they try to hide behind their position and/or fame, and attempt to justify what they did.

Michael Jackson is not the first person, nor the only person for that matter, who had an abusive childhood. Yes it is terrible, but it does not excuse inappropriate behavior in any way. There are thousands upon thousands of people out there who were abused sexually, physically and emotionally as children, but they live normal lives. If he is so mentally ill that he does not recognize or understand that this sort of behavior is wrong, then he needs to be treated for that but he should have no access to children whatsoever, his own included, and he should be classified as a sex offender so others are protected in the future.

In my own personal opinion, I believe that he is guilty. I think he knows it was wrong, and I think he thought he could hide behind who he portends to be (and pretends too) and just get away with it. He isn't stupid and if he is crazy it's crazy like a fox.

Do you think that he can get a fair trial?

no...i don't think it will be fair for either side...a lot of times in high profile cases people TRY to get onto a jury and he definitely has some fanatics out there...which would work for his advantage...

Re: Any news on Michael Jackson?? ETA Who thinks he is guilty??

I think he is guilty of pure stupidity and all the people around him who say they love him are full of it. At this point innocense or guilt is not even the isssue I think. To be tried twice for the same offense is enough for me to know that he has a problem. Either a problem with giing little boys too much attention or a problem recognising appropriate and inappropriate behavior. i don't know if he is a full blown pedophile but he defintely has issues he needs to address.

Re: Any news on Michael Jackson?? ETA Who thinks he is guilty??

What Wendy said.
And I always thought he was guilty even the last time this happened. I just think that he managed to get out of that one by settling and I'm hoping that this time around they have enough evidence to prove it all.

Re: Any news on Michael Jackson?? ETA Who thinks he is guilty??

not guilty

Sorry

Everyone is so fast to peg him guilty. I don't understand how parents would allow this to happen if he was guilty.

He's rich, He's stupid and he's living in a child world. I want to see the semen or DNA proof he did molest these children. Otherwise what did he do wrong? Sleep with children in his bed? If he's as naive as he seems he really doesn't get that people don't see that as norm. If he wasn't committing a crime we still would consider him guilty for being with children in an 'inappropriate' behavior. Not criminal just wrong in the eyes of the public.

If he's found guilty then fine. But I do believe in innocent until proven guilty and I also feel like other cases, this one is just so EASY to push guilty because we WANT to hear that.

He will get no fair trail
He will be found guilty regardless
He will suffer

The questions are:
Will he learn?
Will people still give him their children?

there are plenty of illegal acts that don't leave DNA evidence...ie touching in inappropriate places...

I am very curious to see what those video tapes in the back of his bedroom closet have on them!!!!

I am not sure, yes he is messed in the head, but who wouldn't be if they led his life.

I really think he wants to relive his childhood and doesn't ahvea clue that having children sleep in bed with you is strange. I hope for the children's sake he is not doing anything to them.

i agree

On a side note: I read in the Post that Christina Applegate got called as a juror for his trial and she's trying to get out of it.

Also, I think he is guilty.

Re: Any news on Michael Jackson?? ETA Who thinks he is guilty??

I am really unsure, I think he has no concept of what is appropriate that is for sure, he was up on the limo waving to fans as he is being accused of a very serious crime but I just still think people want his money and he is such an easy target with his bazaar behavior. Last time he was accused, the kid got paid off...sounds fishy that parents would allow a kid to shut up about something as serious as that just for money, I dont care how much someone was willing to give my and my family i would never accept money to be quiet about it.

guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Re: Any news on Michael Jackson?? ETA Who thinks he is guilty??

I strongly believe in Innocent Until proven guilty.
He had a very strange childhood, grew up in the public eye, yada yada yada.
I don't think any one of us really understands what it is to be 'Michael Jackson'
I believe he definitely has issues, and is in serious need of therapy. But a molestor , no I don't see it. I say NOT GUILTY.

If I see the proof, then I am not in denial, I will admit it, but until then, I stand my opinion that he is not guilty.

Who are we to judge when we really don't even know 1/2 the story?
(BTW, I say this with NO reference to anyone's post - I respect all opinions, just stating mine

Re: Any news on Michael Jackson?? ETA Who thinks he is guilty??

I agree with Sassy 100%!

I do not necessarily think he is guilty nor do I think he is innpocent by standards. He had a very odd life and as Sassy said..no one understands what it is to actually be Michael Jackson. I think his upbringing lends to a lot of this. He seems to want to give children the love that he lacked but in doing so does it in the wrong way. Of course we know what sharing your bed with a child that is not yours is not a good thing, imo..I think he sees absolutely nothing wrong with it at all..I think he sees it as giving children love that they need and deserve. As weird as it may sound, I dont think its comes from a bad place..I think his way of thinking is warped.

I am not saying that he didnt do it..once again..innocent until proven guilty but I think he needs lots of help and its a shame he hasnt gotten it before now. Any sane person can see that he as severe issues but deep down inside, I dont think he is a 'bad' person at all...just very different and a lot has happened in his life to shape him this way.

Re: Any news on Michael Jackson?? ETA Who thinks he is guilty??

This whole thing really confuses me.

FH says GUILTY all the way, but I'm not so sure. I agree with the other posters who have said his abusive childhood, world-wide fame from age 5, etcetera has really messed him up in the head. The guy never had a chance to be normal. but no, this doesn't make what he is pssibly doing excusable.

But i have to admit, I still can't resist hearing an MJ song! It's so nuts to think a song like 'ABC' -- Jackson 5 from the 70s or whenever it was -- still is so awesome today!! It's a shame his genius musical history will forever be marred by these allegations.

Wendy, I agree with you on this!! The common behavior of a Pedophile is to create an image and an atomosphere that lures children in. That Neverland ranch is the perfect bait. I usually don't form an opinion on someone's guilt or innocence until I have a good knowledge of all the evidence, but in this case, there are just too many signs that point toward guilty. Not to mention there have been other instances in the past, and other suspicions about him. This isn't the first time these charges have been brought up against him.

For the sake of the children, I hope he IS innocent. But for now, I doubt it.

And as for him being some poor innocent soul, or someone who is just messed up and doesn't understand, I have to disagree with that, too. Did you know after a long and very close friendship with Paul McCartney, he stabbed him in the back and bought the rights to the Beatles songs right out from under him?

Paul had given him financial advice and told him that there was a lot of money to be made by buying the rights to other entertainers music. So Micheal turned around and bought out Paul! That's not right. When Paul confronted him about it, Micheal said it was 'just business.' That sounds all too shrewd and 'clear headed' to me. Doesn't sound at all like he's crazy. As Wendy said... Crazy like a fox.

My 2 cents...
