Re: Anyone else's FHs NOT DANCING??? Kinda Bummed!

Mine! He is doing the first dance and the dance with his mom. I also got him to promise two more dances (I went bowling, which I hate, in exchange for 1 of em).

That just gave me a great idea!! This man will negotiate a deal with just about anything!!!! OK, now I'm on a mission! Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Re: Anyone else's FHs NOT DANCING??? Kinda Bummed!

I told him he has to dance, and he has accepted it.
I think if we get a couple of drinks in him, he will be fine!

My FI also refuses, he is so shy, it's cute. He also told me he is nervous about everyone staring at him, I said don't worry, they will be staring at me, not you!

I said the SAME THING

I'm so confused. My FH will not be dancing at our wedding, except for the 1st dance w/me & the Mother/Son dance. I love to dance, and I feel like I won't be spending the majority of the reception with him because of this. did anyone else have this problem?

My FH won't even be doing mother/son dance because neither of them want to. I told him that while he is stuffing his face during viennesse I will be dancing (actually having V-hour caused problem b/c I didn't want it to cut into my dancing time, and he wanted it to eat up dancing time). The way I look at it is it's my wedding, I love to dance and if he wants me he knows where to find me!!

Although I discovered at WOTY it takes 3 drinks to get him on the dance floor. Between that and dance lessons, maybe, just maybe, I'll get more than the first dance!

You could have my problem. My FH is an out-of-control dancer. In all of my friend's wedding videos he is the main attraction. OMG he is such a fool!

I can relate...whats funny is he thinks he is such a GOOD dancer....it's SO BAD! Elaine like!

I'm teaching him how to dance at home. he has NO rythm. We also practice slow dancing as well. He WILL dance at our wedding.

Same here!!! My FH has NO RYTHM EITHER!!! The last time i saw him dance was at our senior banquet in high school. I begged him to dance at least once with me (fast dance that is) and when he got up and starting dancing... i told him he could sit down now.

I want to take dance lessons but he's not into that. We definitely will be practicing!!!

Re: Anyone else's FHs NOT DANCING??? Kinda Bummed!

OMG, your FH has to dance. Like someone else said, I'm sure you do things with him that you do not like, watch certain sports you hate, or whatnot. MY FH is not a good dancer, and he's shy for pics, but I already told him that I need him to do both. In relationships, one person is always more outgoing than the other, these guys just need to fake it for a day.

Re: Anyone else's FHs NOT DANCING??? Kinda Bummed!

My FH promised to dance all the slow songs with me and maybe 1 or 2 faster songs. He hates dancing and I love dancing so we compromised. I didnt want to make him miserable on his wedding day by forcing him to dance.

Re: Anyone else's FHs NOT DANCING??? Kinda Bummed!

My FH doesn't dance either!! He'll dance slow but thats it! At our e-party when we did our first dance 1/2 way through the DJ said 'join the happy couple on the dance floor' FH was waving family and friends onto the dance floor like crazy so he wouldn't have to be alone anyomre!! The more I think about it if he dances great, but if he doesn't its OK. He had a great time w/his friends and family at the e-party w/out dancing and that is #1- BOTH of us having a good time and being comfortable!

I second that. He claims that he HATES dancing as much as I hate smoking, but I told him he WILL take dancing lessons with me and he will dance both fast and slow songs with me. It is such a bummer! But he knows I will not be happy if he sits out while Im dancing.

Re: Anyone else's FHs NOT DANCING??? Kinda Bummed!

I would not be too worried. We did not have all that much time to dance on our own. There are some many things that you have to do (parent dances, cake cutting, bo-k toss) It doesn't leave too much time.

ME! And he hates taking pictures, too! ugh. I warned my DJ about the 'no dancing' thing for my FH, so hopefully he'll get him up a few times. I FEEL YOUR PAIN!

Me too! I prewarned our DJ so hopefully he can get FH dancing. I'm sure with enough alcohol in him he'll be on the dance floor. But I'm definitely worried about his dislike for taking pics though. I don't want him looking like a mannequin in our wedding photos!

Honestly, DH is not a dancer AT ALL ... but at our wedding he danced ALL NIGHT ... it's where all the guests were, on the dance floor! He'll be up there, you'll see

Re: Anyone else's FHs NOT DANCING??? Kinda Bummed!

Mine shouldn't be dancing but I won't be able to get him off the dance floor
He gets on the dance floor and flaps around like a chicken - he has so much fun but I must admit, funny to watch. I just hope I don't start giggling at our wedding because I don't want to make him feel bad about it...
We even had a whole discussion last night about how he wants to 'choreograph' (and I use that term loosely) a dance with just him and his guys - It is horrible but I hope that all the other wedding details will keep him busy and he will forget about it.

He's not a 'picture' guy either..oh well..sounds like most of us have this problem... :

My FH won't dance either so I will pretty much be spending our wedding day without him!
