Re: Anyone else the opposite of bridezilla???

I am the opposite for sure. My sister was like 'How do you want me to do my hair?' I said - 'whatever da mn way you want to!!!'

I could care less about that stuff or anything like it - I just want everything to go smoothly and everyone to be comfortable!

I thought I was the only one.. people look at me cross eyed when I tell them all my bm's are probably wearing different gowns in the same color.. as long as they are comfortable and somewhat match.. i dont care.. they are paying for it and its not like their dress is the highlight of my wedding day

Re: Anyone else the opposite of bridezilla???

That reminds me, one of my BM's said Im going to be the bride from the diet Dr Pepper commercial. She has all her BM's lined up and she's yelling at them like a drill sergeant. 'You will have your hair done!!! You will have your nails painted!!' 'You eyeballing me?!! Now, lets go get married!!' Then the bride turns around to walk away and the back of her wedding dress is caught in her panties!!!! LMAO!!!! That is soooo me!!

This is exactly how I feel.

People look at me like I'm crazy whenever I say something like that, though. Apparently, the bridezilla is the norm.

Exactly!!! I think thats a nice idea that you have for the BM dresses. I am putting mine in seperates so I would imagine I might have a look like yours too.

I dont like everything exactly the same and perfect....its too......stepford wives or something! Creepy!

Re: Anyone else the opposite of bridezilla???

I don't think I was bridezilla.

The only thing I really had to put my foot down on was DH's nephew wearing a tux. I didn't want him too since he wasn't in the BP.

As for the MOH, MOB & MOG's dresses - I didn't care as long as they felt beautiful!

Re: Anyone else the opposite of bridezilla???

I am the same way. I don't understand how you hear about all the stress brides go through especially if you are engaged over a year. I am putting my whole wedding together in less than 6 months. I only have flowers and limos to go. Little incedentals after that. No biggy. I do one thing at a time. I think it is so fun. I think if I had more time I would get bored.

That's me!! Check out my quote!!

Actually, I get like that some times with certain things. With other things I'm like 'whatever' because I know there are worse things. I'd like to think I'm somewhere in the middle but I'm sure FH would beg to differ!!

Re: Anyone else the opposite of bridezilla???

I was pretty laid back about some things like shoes the BM's wore and their hairstyles. I am a very organized person so when I knew things had to get done and they are weren't I kinda turned into Bridezilla.

Re: Anyone else the opposite of bridezilla???

These are the only things I wish for my wedding day:

1. I marry the man I love. (So far that's in the bag )

2. I don't want any family drama. (miracles take longer )

If that makes me a bridezilla, then I will happily wear the title.

Re: Anyone else the opposite of bridezilla???

Meeeee....I am SO laid back, people think I'm crazy. I picked the designer, color and fabric and said to my BM's go pick your own dress and have fun. They wanted to know if they should order from the same place, since they're all over the island and one is in PA I said 'if you feel the need to, but I seriously don't care'. Then they asked when I want them to order them, my response 'as long as you have it by October 31st and it fits you, I don't care.' They can have their hair done or not, they can have their make-up done or not, I don't care what color their nails are....my ONLY request is that they dye their shoes to match the dress, that's it. It does help that I trust them very much. I've even been very laid back in asking them to help me with stuff, I've come to realize that just because I eat, sleep and breathe wedding doesn't mean they have to!

Re: Anyone else the opposite of bridezilla???

I don't think I'm a bridezilla. I get a little stressed out about getting stuff done, but i'm not worrying that everything is absolutely perfect. My BMs can wear their hair however they way, any jewelry they want, do their own makeup, whatever shoes (as long as they are dyed to match), etc. The little details don't have to be perfect.

Re: Anyone else the opposite of bridezilla???

I was the total opposite of bridezilla. I was so calm through most of the planning and the week of my wedding. Nobody could belive how calm I was. I just took everything with a grain of salt. Even when Two of my cousins, who were bridesmaids called the night of my rehearsal dinner, two days before the wedding, to say that they were not going to be able to come up from Florida and participate in the wedding because her baby was sick. I was upset but didn't let it get to me. It actually bothers me more now, that everything is over than it did than.
