FH and I have been living together for a year & a 1/2 now.

the whole white dress/virginal thing is antiquated. you can wear whatever color dress you want.

As of September, I will be living with my FH in our new home...I don't care if it is appropriate or not to wear white, I am!!! I am a firm believer that the entire 'white wedding' thing is an old school tradition...I didn't look good in any other color but white

90% of people who walk down the aisle are NOT virgins. Some haeve slept with their FH, some have slept with 20 men, some have 5 kids, most of them still wear white. If you feel comfortable wearing white. totally go for it! Theoretically it symbolizes virginity, but I think about it just as symbolizing the purity of heart with which we will approach the altar. in the Jewish tradition, both parties wear white, because it is considered your own personal yom kippur. There are many mnay reasons to wear white, not the least of which is because you always dreamed of it as a little girl

Wear what you want!

by the time we get married we will be living together 2 1/2 yrs. im wearing white. living together or not is anyone 'pure' anymore?

if people wanted to follow ediquete then they shouldnt make white dresses anymore

I lived with mine for 5 years before the wedding and I never thought twice about not wearing white. But you do whatever you want, its your day!

At the time of the wedding we'll have been living together for a year and a half. I'll be wearing white. It doesn't matter so much any more unless you're following old-school conventional ideas. These days anything goes!!! Wear what you want and be happy!!!

You're getting married and you can wear whatever it is you want to wear, but I beg to differ with the women that said things to the effect that no one is pure anymore, etc. etc. Why? I am 24 years old, my fiance is 27 years old, we've been together for 5 years, we do not live together and have never had sex. Neither have we lived with and or had sex with anyone else!!!

I haven't officially begun gown shopping as yet, but from browsing online and looking through magazines, I am not in love with white gowns. So unless my view changes, this virgin will not be walking down the aisle in white.

A blusher is a veil that is normally shorter and goes over your face...mine was 30' long. Once I got to the altar, my mom and dad removed it (pushed it back) and it looked like this...
