You're getting married and you can wear whatever it is you want to wear, but I beg to differ with the women that said things to the effect that no one is pure anymore, etc. etc. Why? I am 24 years old, my fiance is 27 years old, we've been together for 5 years, we do not live together and have never had sex. Neither have we lived with and or had sex with anyone else!!!

I haven't officially begun gown shopping as yet, but from browsing online and looking through magazines, I am not in love with white gowns. So unless my view changes, this virgin will not be walking down the aisle in white.

I don't think they were saying that no one was 'pure' anymore, they were just saying that white was symbolic of virginity, and now many of the brides who wear white are not virgins, not that none of them are.

Oh FH and I live together but we joke to our families that I kicked him out into the spare bedroom.

I'm not a virgin at 34 but there were times in my life I was a 'born again' virgin

We have dated 5 years (it will be 6.5 by our actual wedding day) and we've been living together for 3 years, and i'm wearing bright white!

I am wearing white and we have been living together for almost 2 years, and we already have a 1 year old son together who is our RB.

So yes you can, if that is what you want!

We've only been living together about a month, but I am wearing ivory (not a reflection of my status, the color looks better on me)!

I agree, this used to mean something, but it's pretty obsolete now.

Me too- we have been living together since November- we got engaged in August- I am wearing white- Nobody cares and I think they expect you to wear white!

There is nothing wrong with wearing white on your wedding day whether your not a virgin or living with your FI. White is traditional so I say go for it!
