FH and I already agreed that we will get one present for both of us. We're going to buy a big flat screen TV!

being married already we bought ourselves a nice computer and flat screen tv..
perfect for both of us..

In the hope springs eternal category of things, I bought FH a wedding gift before he asked me to marry him.

I was vacationing in New Zealand and I found something I thought was perfect, so I bought it. I figured if he didn't ask I had a nice souvenir.

I plan on getting him something small as a token! But we purchased our house & said that was the gift to both of us!

Nothing here! I was thinking that after the bridal shower, I probably won't get everything we asked for. SO I figured we can get something off the list that we both really wanted. Sounds cheesy, but we won't have any money. FH thinks the gift giving is a stupid idea anyway!

I want to get him this skateboard that an artist we know and like a lot did up, and I want to get him this beautiful Buddhist statue that they sell at the Buddhist Center we go to - but everything together would cost over 400 bucks!!!!

no. we were going to do this and then decided not too. With all the money we are spending, we figured that it really makes a lot of sense to save some $ by not buying gifts for each other. I told him his wedding gift is getting me for his wife.

I gave him a iPod when we got engaged. I don't think we will do gifts for the wedding - maybe something special on the honeymoon. But I love what you ladies said - he is getting me forever!

Us too! He was talking to a friend about it and he's like we have to give each other wedding gifts too? I got him an ipod and skiis as an engagement gift, I figure he spent a lot on the ring so an engagement gift is a bit more justifiable (although nowhere near equal to what he spent on the ring, its a nice gesture). He wants to play some golf on the honeymoon and I want to go to the spa so those can substitute as gifts!

Yes, I got him Sunday Tickets to his favorite baseball team. I'm starting to get annoyed with them though, they invoiced me twice.

I thought maybe something little that is sentimental... but I can't think of anything right now..... maybe a nice tie tack or cuff links.. something he will always have but isn't terribly expensive.....

I've always viewed the rings as our gifts to one another, goes with the whole eternal love symbology. Plus we've got our HM, so that's our treat to eachother. Not to mention he's getting me for all of eternity!!!!
