well finances will be too tight for a store bought gift. So I will probably write him a poem and frame it myself on some nice parchment paper. Something he can have forever and display. Plus that will give him the opportunity to throw it back at me when I am mad at him! lol

My Ex-Co-worker got a Mercedes Benz for her wedding gift. She got her Groom a watch.
Is anyone going to have any money left over for the Groom Gift?

A Benz... Thats more than my wedding

I wanted to get something for him and he wants to get me something.. but I highly doubt we can afford it. Reality hasn't hit us yet!!

I just asked FH if i can get a Benz for my gift.. and he said sure - he also said we can get married in it & have our honeymoon there too!!

Smart A$$! That sounds like something my FH would say. We are doing a small gift ... like I may have a special something engraved in his ring as a surprise ... that kind of thing, or maybe a model benz haaaaaa

nope- I didn't- I paid for his wedding band- which was alot!

and too be honest we didn't even do x-mas gifts this year

there was nothing we wanted and had to have

when there is something he wants- like nice cuff links and he wants a Burberry tie- which I am getting him for V-day- he gets it

same with me- I get gifts when I see something I like-

We were going to but we are over budget so we may hold off on it for now. We give each other things all year long so I think that is special enough.

Since I gave him a fancy watch when we got engaged, I am giving him a landscaper. Right now he does it himself, and he is way too anal, so I figured, I would hand it over to the professionals. Plus, it would give us more time together.

I really want to get him something but we are strapped for cash and I have no idea what to get - we will have to discuss it - we may just do cards.

Our wedding song is by one of my FH favorite artists (we're big into indie music) so I e-mailed the artist and asked him if he'd play at our wedding and he actually e-mailed me back that he would love to play at our wedding as long as he was not touring far away!! I won't know if he can do it until about 2 months before, though. I talked to his agent and he would play for 30 minutes, including our wedding song :))
