oh my god, I have so many sleepless nights and headaches worrying about how much it's costing us. Our inital budget was $20,000, but the reception hall alone is about $15000, so it looks like it's going to go upwards of $30,000.

. It' absolutely insane.....

Not trying to scare you but I thought we could stay around 30K but it doesn 't look this way.

I mean I am really shopping around for deals too! I am getting everyone to lower their prices

but it's still costing so much

It is absolutely amazing how much money we and our parents are spending for one day of our lives. It's worth it though, right?

YES! Cause everytime I go to book a vendor the budget # goes right out the window!
Not even by choice, just because that is what they cost.

Yes b/c for a while I thought we were in good shape. We figured it would run about 35k w/ honeymoon & now it's looking closer to 47k.

I JUST realized now we'll be about 7k short!!! We got to step up how much we're putting in e/ week!!!

you're scaring me.....so our wedding is in '07 and all we have is the church and reception....I'm budgeted 35k, I guess I can forget about that!!!!!! HHMMPPHH!

My FH is in the school of 'don't worry' it'll work out. I was freaking out all day & he's calm. He's like I'll work OT & we'll be fine. He's so relaxed.

I am glad I laid it all out now b/c up till now we were spending whatever & just not worrying.

Sometimes I felt sick about it during the planning process, but now that it's over, I do not have one regret at all. It was the best day ever and worth every penny!!!

We originally budgeted and said we were going to stay under $20k. That went out of the window fast. My grandfather isaid at one point he would pay for honeymoon, I hope he doesn't change is mind. Without HM, we are looking at over $25k.

FH is great. He works two jobs - 5 days a week, and works the second job on saturdays also. He brings in about 3.5 times my salary. I work FT, but since I am in school, I am not making the type of money I could be, since I am working a very low end job so I can focus on my studies.
