oh my god yes. I started freaking out. I gave myself a stomach ache and bit all my nails off. Fi told me I have to stop talking about how much money its costing b/c Im making him crazy. I have to not think about it

EEKK!!! I just had this conversation with FH tonight!! He keeps saying don't worry. But how am I not supposed to worry when I have to pull teeth to get money out of him every paycheck to put in the wedding account?? He is supposed to give me a set amount each and every check, and I have only gotten the full amount ONCE!!!!! And then he says things like I want an ice sculpture! HUH!?!?!?! With what money are we supposed to pay for an ice sculpture? Not to mention the separate account he had (past tense) for the RD that he spent on who knows what. Here I am stressing over the flower budget and trying to cut it by $1000 to afford a video, and he wants a ****ing ice sculpture!!

Sorry for hijacking your post, I needed to vent.

FH and I were going over our 'budget' last night and I started to get a little stressed out...but I guess where there's a will there's a way!

Yes!!! I have my moments where I get sooooo upset over the $$ (thankfully our parents are splitting the cost of the wedding, we've just been paying for the extras, invites, favors, etc....) Anyway, I start to feel incredibly selfish for having all this money spent on us for one 8 hour day.

Freaking out... not really.. Im expecting my wedding to cost alot. I've been told & have been prepared for so long to expect that. This is one of the main reasons why I will be engaged 2 1/2 years before I get married. I think it will really hit me hard some a month before my wedding when I have to shell out final payments and be bombarded with unexpected expenses.

Hang in there. Things always have a way of working out in the end.

yes and no.

it seems so obscene to spend so much on just one day... But then I just think about it and it's not one day... It's the year of fun we had planning it too... Not to mention, it's the kickoff to a lifetime, right?

So that's how I justify it in my mind when I get stressed about the amount!

yup... been there already! It really is rediculous!!!!!

add up your hall price now so you are prepared. You're not just paying the price per person, you need to make sure you add 18% and tax to the total. and don't forget about all the tips.

Omg, YES!!!!! I had no idea weddings cost this much, and we're really not doing anything extravagant!! I always wanted something simple that didn't break the bank, but that's nearly impossible to do here on LI!!!!!
