Both of my parents will be walking me down. I'm not that close with my dad but I'm traditional and I want him to do it. My parents are divorced and I'm very close with my mom, I know she's equally as honored to walk me down and I want her to have that special moment too.

As of right now I am walking down with my dad but he is undergoing some serious Chemo for a new diagonis of cancer so I am not sure what will be in July......

My dad is walking me but I'm not 100% happy.... both my sisters were walked by my dad and my grandfather but he passed away

My mother mentioned that she would take his place and both my parents would walk me but I feel that if he's not there then no one should take his place. Just a lil sad to have this day w/o him I guess.

this was my reply to smara's post about estranged dad:

my dad and i have had a weak relationship at best, and, like you, backed out of a huge financial committment he had made to me, not the wedding though. although he is my father, he will not be walking me down the aisle. my mom will. she is the one who raised me, the one who was there for it all, and the one i owe everything to. don't feel like he has to escort you b/c it's tradition or something...follow your heart

Other - dad is deceased, and my mom refused when my sister asked, so I didn't bother. My older brother is walking me down.

Other - my Mom passed away almost 4 yrs ago and I'm not close to my father. My Godmother will be walking me down the aisle or I'll walk alone.

My Dad, I had spoken to my Mom about having them both do it and she loved the idea but did not want to take away any of the glory from my Father.

This is what's happening to me (that's why I started the thread). I wanted to know if both of my parents would do it, b/c no one would walk my Mom down cause i have no brothers and I didn't want her going solo. but my daddy is a bit sad now b/c he wanted to do it alone. but now my mom wants to take part too...what to do, what to do???

I'm going solo...

My dad will walk down with his wife, and I've asked one of my closest male friends to walk my mom down. This way he is in the wedding, too.
