Re: attending cocktail hour
There is a gap between the Church and the Cocktail Hour so we will definitely be attending! We plan on doing picture in between so that we can enjoy the entire reception!

Re: attending cocktail hour
us too. And honestly I want to enjoy my reception also so if we've already said hello to our guests then no we will not be stopping during the reception also. We are paying a ton of money for our guest and OURSELVES to enjoy this party. And trust me we will be!!!!

We have a big gap between Chruch and CH so we will be attending the entire CH and I can't wait.

Re: attending cocktail hour
We are seeing each other before the ceremony, which is in the hall, so we can take all the pictures and then we can enjoy the cocktail hour and greet everyone. If you stay in the bridal room, you really spend alot of time greeting everyone during the reception. We added alot of things to the cocktail hour and I dont want to miss it.

WE did and it was the best decision we made. We had time between church and reception so we took pictures then. We wanted to be a part of our whole wedding.

Re: attending cocktail hour
My FH really wants to and thats why we are taking photos before the ceremony, otherwise this would be the time given to the photographer. I just agreed. I probably won't eat much, but I will use this time to thank all my guests.

Re: attending cocktail hour
I am definetely going.... at least to half of it. We fought with the hall to push it back a half hour so that we could attend part of it. To me that is the best part at Lombardi's...all that food and the view of the water! I definetely want to enjoy that!

Re: attending cocktail hour
In order for us to attend our own CH, photographer is going to start taking photos before the wedding of FH and his side while I finish getting ready. We are not seeing each other prior to ceremony.I will do my side also without FH before ceremony. Then we are only doing the 'together photos'. That should save some time.

This is exactly what we did. We ended up at the cocktail hour for the last 20 minutes. We didn't have much time to eat since we were mobbed by people, but it cut down on 'mingling time' during dinner. THe staff made sure we had some of each of the cocktail hour snacks on our sweetheart table.

Re: attending cocktail hour
FH has made it clear to our photographer and the catering hall that he plans on attending his own CH. Me? I don't because I want to take pics and then hang out and regroup in the bridal suite. I'm pretty sure FH is going to change his mind when he realizes we won't get to make our grand entrance if everyone's already seen him at CH.

We might catch the very end of it, but no likely. However, our BM promised they would bring food and drink out to where we are taking picture.

Re: attending cocktail hour
We had all our pictures done before the CH, so we went in for the whole thing. We didn't eat anything (we had some of the CH food in our bridal suite), but we used that whole hour to greet everyone. It was the best thing we could have done because me and Anthony drank and danced for the whole reception! We didn't have to go to each table and talk to everyone.....

Re: attending cocktail hour
We decided on taking pictures before the ceromy; ours is in the city so we're going to different locations and need about 2 to 3 hours the most. We'll like enjoy the wedding from beginning to end...:)

Re: attending cocktail hour
We spent the first 1/2 of the cocktail hour in the bridal suite by ourselves. Our bridal attendant brought us samples of all of the food being served. Then, we went to the cocktail hour to talk with our guests. That way, we had fewer guests to greet at the reception and could fully enjoy the day.Welcome New Vendors
