Re: Ben. Moore v. Behr paints

Well then, I'll throw in another suggestion....Sherwin Williams...our entire house has been painted with SW, and the product is amazing. Color is true to the swatches and the coverage is fabulous!
We tried BM and RL and had problems with both. We never gave Behr a try b/c we were advised ahead of time to stay away from it.

Re: Ben. Moore v. Behr paints

I used Behr paint and i loved it. I Felt it came out true to the chip i picked and i liked painting with it. and it was only 20.00 per gallon at HD

For my dining room I used Ralph Lauren paint. WHAT A NIGHTMARE. I felt like i was painting with glue. if i didnt LOVE THE color so much i would have returned it.

Re: Ben. Moore v. Behr paints

Does everyone stay away from Behrs paint because of the 'cancer causing agents' it mentions on the back of the can?
or is it jsut because of color/quality reasons?

Out of convenience we just bought some paint at HD, and went with Behr's again. It IS true to color and seems to have great coverage also. Just those warnings on the back keep you wondering... and then you think about 'all the other stuff in the world' with cancer causing agents

If we read every word on every box and can of things we used, we'd REALLY be sick

Re: Ben. Moore v. Behr paints

My parents swear by Ben Moore the whole first level of my house is painted in it. I decided to paint my bedroom, and bathroom with Behr b/c it was cheap. as the saying goes you get what you pay for.. It dosnt cover well at all. You also end up using soo much more paint that you would with a good brand.

I am not a great painter but the coverage of the behr paint is horrible. It also dosnt clean that well. JMO

We have used behr and I am not crazy about it. It is a thick paint. And yes, I stirred. A lot.

I hate Behr...in fact we have been incontact with them because the paint ..well I can't explain it but the ceilings came out horrible...truly I don't know though if it was the paint or the place I bought it, the might have stored it in to cold or to hot temp
