I (the bride-to-be) am helping compile the shower guest list. Do all the ladies get invited??? Or all the ladies that I know (if I know just the guy, then not invite the girl)???

I invited all female family members and close friends. Even those who were out of state - out of respect.

The only women I did not invite were a) Paul's women friends who I did not know very well (1) and B) women who I do not have a close relation to but are attending as guests of my male friends and family members

i know how you feel...i feel funny inviting my boss's wife???

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Unforgettable Entertainment. The name of the DJ is Robert Shapiro. I've spoken to him and he seems nice. I'd appreciate any suggestions on DJs as well. My fiance and I are currently researching different vendors but, since we live in San Francisco and are getting married on Long Island, we can't meet with everyone in person.

Thanks for your help.

yep Glory. My maids have asked me to do the same. We are inviting all females on the list, whether they are in state or not. again, out of respect. I don't want to hear from my fam that they weren't told & now they are upset. I rather have them decide what they want to do. BUT! we are writing on the invites, guys are welcome to join us...the groom & buddies will be there.

But, my wedding & reception is in the same place.Ceremony in the gardens. As the guests file out post cermony we will have a small receiving line...then start taking our pics as quickly as possible while the guests enjoy the cocktail hour. Maybe we can all our pics done in the hour, if we are lucky. Then, onto the reception. We dont have the luxery of paying to stay on a bit longer...we must be out by 6pm..another wedding to follow.

ARRGGH! but, what we did is hire 2 crews of photogs. I figured it was worth the little extra $$ if it saves us time & this way we are guarenteed to get pics of everyone! BTW, I will not see Rob until I walk down the aisle...so no pre ceremony pics together.
