I ordered my gown from Bridal Suite and had a wonderful experience. My sister is now getting married in Nov. and her wedding gown has been in and ran on time. The bridesmaid gowns are due in Sept.
Talking to the staff at B.S. they have made arrangements with another Bridal shop to take care of all existing orders. I know it is a stressful time for everyone involved.I hope this will ease everyone, even just a little. If I find out anything out I will let everyone know

What does the person think she is really accomplishing here? I mean, it's not like the store can use promotion these days! And sure, I had a great experience with my sister's wedding: in 1990! It's too bad that I might be out of a $400 deposit now.

yesterday was a nightmare for 200 long island brides....my wedding is now 8 days away...honestly how would you feel in my situation....even if I had a good experience with this place in the past....which I actually did for my sister's wedding...that is no excuse for how the brides and bridesmaids and mothers were treated there yesterday....I would not be telling people how wonderful they were after hearing what happened yesterday.....you weren't there...(or were You?) to see brides crying because there wedding is Aug 27th and the dresses were sent back to the manufator becaue Bea didnt have the $$ to pay to UPS to get the dresses off the truck....your 12 month old son and 8 month pregnant cousin weren't locked inside a building with no electricty for over 3 hrs.

I have never attacked anyone on this site...I have always been sympathic to other brides wedding stresses....but in this situtation I can not sit back quitely....you have no idea what was going through all those brides heads as they were praying and hoping that they would get their dresses in time.

my sister and cousin were scheduled for fittings today at 1pm. My sister got there early...and called me in a panic at 12:30. She said that the lights are off and no one is there.

So after reading today's posts I hopped in the car with my mother and 12 month old son; and headed down there.

I got there and saw people inside...I yelled thorugh the door...that I want all my dresses right now.

They let us in. My cousin arrived shortly after ready for her fitting....we told her that the shop has closed....they let her in also...she is 8 months pregnant right now.

they found my dresses...but no one was discussing payment with us...for 3 hrs...meanwhile the doors had all been locked...LIPA shut off the electricity...so we were locked inside for over 3 hours with no lights or air conditioning...with a baby and a pregnant woman.

finally owner Bea came over to talk to her....after my sister yelled at her. she saidf that she didnt know were there...she is the one that let us in.

she told me that i had to pay full price for the BM's dresses...meanwhuile they came in the wrong color...so I told her that I will not pay full price...because this is a breach of contract...Im willing to pay something for them...but not full price....( i had no choice but to take them since my wedding is only 9 days away)

Bea went to take all the dresses back,...meanwhile my mother's and mine are already paid in full....my sister stopped her...and Bea stormed off that she is giong to call the cops....I said good...because I already called them...since you locked us in here.

I then got on my cell and called news 12...which arrived at the same time to as Suffolk's finest.

She lied to the officers and news12...she said that someone else must have locked the door...but I watched her myself lock the door.

I apoligized to the officers...I know that this was a waste of police resources... the officers we extremly nice and help me get the dresses for a discounted price.

Im extremly upset because on numerous occasions Bea lied to my face and assured me that they weren't closing....she is a lier.

I know that she reads post on this site...so to you Bea I must say....that I feel bad that you business is giong Bankrupt...but the way in which you handled yourself in this situation has been absolutly disgusting....you have no people skills...and do not deserve and pity after the way you treated us today.

Did she tell you why she kept you and your family locked in the store for 3 hours? Did she keep you there against your will?

She locked the doors because she couldn;t handle all the brides that were arriving there to get answers.

I guess I could have left...but she wasn't letting me leave with my dresses...and I wasn't leaving them with her....she lied to me too many times...and I wasn't willing to take a chance.

What a mess! I don't understand why people are defending the store...if you had a great experience there than so be it. This is definitely not the time or place to be defending the store...The point is that so many people are left without their dresses or with the WRONG dresses so soon to their wedding. No one should have to be in this situation....especially so close to their wedding. One's wedding day is supposed to be a day where everything is perfect - and now someone has to settle for BM dresses in a color that she did not pick out. That is ridiculous.

To all of you who are going through this now, I am so sorry for you and I hope the owners Bridal Suite of Patchogue get what they deserve for being so extremely unprofessional and heartless!

I am absolutely fuming for you ladies. I am glad you were able to get your dress out - I'm so sorry you had all of this extra, unnecessary stress so close to your big day. I wish I had seen the report last night, but we don't get news12 in Queens. I hope everyone else is able to get their gowns as well.
