We live together but we are not going to see eachother. We're both staying in the hotel the night before, but seperately. We have a gap in between the ceremony and reception, so we'll take the pictures then and won't miss any of the cocktail hour!

we live together and wont be seeing each other either... I dont want to miss that moment when you first see eachother as you come down the aisle!! I'll probably be having him sleep elsewhere that night and have a sleepover with my girls!

We saw each other before the ceremony and it was great. I can understand wanted your FH to see you for the first time as you walk down the aisle, but I'm so glad I saw him before. First of all, the firsttime you see eavh other is an amazing moment, and I'm glad I didn't have to share that with anyone but DH. Second of all, it puts you much more at ease for the ceremony (not that you still don't have a million butterflies!) Also, for a day that goes by so quickly, it allows you to spend as much time with your FH as possible.

we live together, in MD and he is staying at my moms with me wed and thurs night but friday night he is staying at the hotel with his friends. although we wont GET ReADY together, we are taking pics first and plan to make that a special moment for us...oh yeah and our photographer

My FH and I are going to see one another before the ceremony to take pictures. However, I will be staying at my parents house the night before and he will be going to his dad's and leaving from there. At first he was confused about it, but I just explained that even though we live together I know my parents would be hurt if I didn't leave from their house. Besides, I would like him to be a little suprised when he sees me that day.

It's the only way when you're getting married at the same place you're having your reception.

I agree, we are paying too much money to not have beautiful pics before hand to take.

After the ceremony I want to enjoy being together, saying hello to guests, eating, and getting a couple of shots.

I've been to weddings where it was RUSH RUSH RUSH after the ceremony to get the shots of the BP. I want to get it over with before the 12noon ceremony (early though!)

We're going to work it out at Westbury Gardens where we can see each other for the first time and make it really special.

I'm a huge picture person, and capturing all these moments and getting gorgeous pictures are what's most important to me.

Also, this whole thing about BAD LUCK?
Seeing the bride for the first time goes back in history as a way for the father to get rid of his oldest (ugliest?) daughter or something. She wears a veil, covers her face so the groom doesn't see her when she comes down the aisle. It was explained to me at one point, I forget how it goes. It's become a tradition but it's not bad luck!!
It's funny how silly little things they did way back when have carried over.

We lived together before our nuptials. I got ready at my father's house, DH got ready at his mother's.
We saw each other before ceremony to take pics though. Photographer made our first time seeing each special and captured it on film.
Since we had our ceremony at the hall doing pics before hand was just way easier and allowed us some time after the ceremony to enjoy CH and our guests. JMO
