Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
I am not seeing my FH before the ceremony. I want to see the look on his face when he sees me walking down the isle. However, my feelings might change before this. I might want to get most of the pics out of the way so i can enjoy my cocktail hour.

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
We have plenty of time allotted to take pictures BEFORE the CH so we don't miss it.

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
We do live together and we are taking pictures before the Ceremony so we will be seeing each other. We both will probably sleep at home the night before the big day.

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
Yes we are - but we are having a Jewish wedding ceremony, and you are supposed to see each other beforehand anyway.

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
We lived together before our nuptials. I got ready at my father's house, DH got ready at his mother's.We saw each other before ceremony to take pics though. Photographer made our first time seeing each special and captured it on film.
Since we had our ceremony at the hall doing pics before hand was just way easier and allowed us some time after the ceremony to enjoy CH and our guests. JMO

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
I agree with you it was not important to me either. We stayed at my parents house the night before the wedding. We had breakfast together the morning of our wedding. We even went to the beauty shop together....and we got a lecture from the salon as well
We then didn't see each other again until we got to the hall a few hours later so he didn't see me all dressed up until then. We took pictures before the ceremony and it made it easier on us later.
I have to say it was nice to spend so much time with him that day. He keeps me calm and makes me happy.
The bad luck hasn't hit yet...I'll keep you posted

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
We live together, and woke up together the day of the wedding. I left him around 1pm and then didn't see him until the photo shoot at 5pm or so. So far, it hasn't been bad luck for us!!!I didn't see first hubby before the wedding, and look where that got me!

We live together. He'll be spending the night at a hotel.
I'll be getting ready at our house.
We will see each other once we are ready and the photographer will capture the moment before.
All pics taken before.
We are attending our cocktail hour.

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
We also are seeing each other before the Ceremony. We thought about it and like many others here, we decided that we want to be able to enjoy our cocktail hour. We do not live together.

I don't understand the linking of the two but yes we live together and yes we're taking pics before the ceremony. I think the better link is if you're having your ceremony at the same place as your reception - those are usually the people who have this decision to make. If you're not, there's usually a time gap between the ceremony and the reception where you can take pics.
i think this a better analysis. we're having our reception and ceremony at the same spot and will add a 1/2 hour to the cocktail hour so we don't comepletely miss because i'd like to take some of the pictures after the ceremony. i don't want to see him before.

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
We didn't, he went to the BMs house and stayed there. The first time I saw him was when I walked up the aisle. It was so exciting I was ready to burst!! I would do it all over again the same way.

We don't live together, and will see each other before the ceremony. We're having the Ceremony at the same place as the Reception though, + Jewish, so it's a bit different.

Isn't it suppose to be bad luck to see each other before hand????![]()
Yep, I heard that too. But for me, I just don't want to see him. I want to get his initial reaction as I walk down the aisle!

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
We are living together, but following the Catholic tradition of not seeing eachother before the wedding (I know...it doesn't make sense). We are not having a receiving line to have time for pictures after the church. We plan on thanking everyone at the reception.

Re: Bride and Groom Before Ceremony
I think it's up to your preference and your traditions. My brother and his girlfriend live together and she is spending the night at their house and he is going to my aunts. Im planning on staying in a hotel since we live right now in his parents house. If we have an apartment by then I think I would want to get ready at home and have him stay with his mom. It's really what you want I mean we don't just live together we have kids together so I'd say we already blew alot of traditions
