BRIDESMAID DRESS STORES

After reading my post about Peggy Peters in Great Neck, I am sure you are all aware of my weariness of these stores.

Well, I found the dress I love at 3 other stores. I would love your advice on where to goand possibly who to work with at the store.

BRIDESMAID DRESS STORES

Just a comment on Bridal Reflections, they are a bit pricey and you may be able to find the same dress at another shop for a significantly cheaper price.

Other than that, I have heard better things about Bridal Reflections in Massapequa than the one in Carle Place. I haven't heard anything about the other store.

BRIDESMAID DRESS STORES

Hi. I am going to throw my two cents in. I think Bridal Reflections is very expensive. I got a bridesmaids dress there 3 years ago and with alterations the dress cost almost $500. The alterations were horrible. It was a sleeveless dress and no matter what they did my bra showed in all of the pictures. My mom looked for her dress for my wedding there and was quoted $750. We went to Sophisticated Lady out in Patchogue and she got almost the same dress for about $400. If it is not too far try them. They have a huge selection and very friendly service. Good Luck!!

BRIDESMAID DRESS STORES

I used Bridal Reflections for my girls and the dresses were competitively priced. I have had no problems with them. They have a great reputation on the Island. The store is newly remodeled (both actually) and that tells me that they are doing something right. I think that a discount place is always risky. I would rather be sure. Good luck.

I bought my girls nice wooden sewing baskets from Joanne's Crafts, I wanted to put a touch of personalization on them so I had little gold plates with the saying, Thanks SEW much for being a part of our day Shawn & Brenda 5/27/00

I'm from California, so I checked out prices at a place sorta like Spencer's and also at Things Remembered. They wanted from $12 to $35, for each plate. I then checked out a place that does trophies and plaques and they charged me $4.00 per plate. I couldn't believe it. I'm so happy.

BRIDESMAID DRESS STORES

I stopped in Bridal Reflections when i got engaged and stumbled upon a hysterical bride holding lime green dresses which were supposed to be a shade of blue. Needless to say I ran.

David and Goliath..good analogy and you are right. I have the name and how to contact for consumer advocates because that was my next step with this place. A crying bride breaks my heart because I was just there not too long ago and cryed because of the same person. I dont know how he sleeps at night.

They tried to order a dress that was two sizes too large for me (I know the dresses run small but give me a break I'm not that stupid). I had to insist on them ordering the size I wanted. Luckily I was right, otherwise the alterations necessary would have been like making a new dress. I think they did that to try to get more money by making it a plus size dress.I ended up having my dress altered elsewhere because they wanted to do the first fitting the week of the wedding.
