I hesitate to write anything about tips, feeding the photographer or anything to cause controversy....so I'll keep it simple.

Does anyone know where I can get mirrored compacts (engravable) for my bridesmaids?

Estee Lauder, and I think Clinique have them. They usually have different styles or themes to choose from...but I dont know if only around the holidays. I have a beautiful gold-tone round with alligator texture & Ive bought my mom a heart shaped one and had it engraved.

We hadn't thought of it but our SIL suggested we might be entitled to Paul's tails as a comp. Hey - every $145 counts! : )

Try Fortunoffs in Westbury or Things Remebered (they are in most major malls) Both stores I know do engraving. Good Luck

I registered at Fortunoff's and remember browsing through their website and seeing really pretty mirrored compacts. The website is www.fortunoffs.com. I think that they would engrave.

I signed on this morning to see the animosity still lingering! I'm sorry I ever became involved in the conversation of Tipping. I thought I was allowed to give my opinion. I think we should all go back to what were doing before that topic of discussion. NO ONE should be afraid to give an opinion, but we should, including myself, hold back on insults to anyone or coming off that way. I agree with that! Let's try to get along and go forward from here. Wendy, I think every bride or groom on this site is capable of having a relationship and we are all getting married, or have just gotten married and, therefore, let's hold back on comments such as people not being capable of being married. That hurt!

We're also serving another dessert - fresh berries and cream so if folks don't want the chocolate they have an option (and the Milleridge also puts butter cookies on the table)

I'm also getting married at Milleridge and wanted to know how you went about ordering your cake. Can you have any combination of cake/filling that you want or do they have a set list? Also, when did you order your cake?

Wouldn't ya think? That was the first place I went and they said they didn't have them....I did find them in Fortunoff but they were really expensive...my fiancee makes jewelry so we're giving them necklace and earrings for the dress, but I wanted to give them a little something engraved with the date of the wedding....Someone said they sell them at Tri-County in Levittown, but I haven't gotten there yet....

I haven't seen compacts...although I like the idea very much. Some related items that we have and that are in the same category are jewelry boxes, hand mirrors, and also a pretty set of silver plated makeup brushes...you may have a better chance of finding related items like these if you can't find the compacts.
