Re: Bridesmaid gifts

So far I've gotten them:

Weekend bags with their names monogrammed on it, a bottle of my favorite long island wine (on sale!), and a wine glass with their initials on it. I am also going to get flip flops when old navy has their sale. And I'll add other things for their over night stay after the wedding. :)

Re: Bridesmaid gifts

I think jewelry is a good idea, but in general, day of jewelry is not a gift to me. Often, it's just like the dress in that you never wear it again. So I would say to make it something that is wearable after your wedding day or don't make it a gift. JMO...

Re: Bridesmaid gifts

I have gotten my Bm:

A beautiful, trendy clutch in slate gray. The can be either dressy or casual. A definete 'use again' for after the wedding.

Their DOJ- Necklaces and Earrings from Macys. however- I do agree with one of the girls above... that JUST giving DOJ is probably annoying to them. Although they prob dont want to have to deal with getting the jewelry for the day of themselves- its really a gift that is more for you as the bride... cause you are picking it because you like it and want them to wear it. Chances are, they wont wear it again. LOl Ive never wore my DOJ from being bridesmaid ever again... JMO

I am also making each of them a personalized photobook from shutterfly- including pictures of 'through' the years of us together...

I want to also get them some sort of tote for the day.

A frame for a wedding pic for after the wedding.

Although I know that getting hair and makeup done is expensive- I am not offering to pay for this.... because it is just too expensive to do that for everyone. I have offered to let the girls find their own person if they want to find a cheaper price than what the girl I am having come to the house can offer.

HTH! :)

Re: Bridesmaid gifts

I am only having a MOH, so so far I bought her a MOH hanger for her dress. I am planning to make her a day of survival kit with all goodies in it (I already bought a pair of silver roll-up ballet flats to put in the kit), her DOJ, a nice frame to put a picture of us from the wedding in, a personalized tote to put every thing in and I'm probably going to pay for her hair.
