My fiance and I are from a huge family and we are having a hard time finding a church. We are looking to rent a church for a few hours on a Sat morning in the spring that can accomodate about 700 people. I know this is a huge crowd but we can't avoid it. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Call the Diocese of Rockville Center. They can direct you. Most churces will not let you marry in their church anymore unless you are a parishoner. I know that sounds horrible, but I went through it believe me. They are extrememely helpful at the diocese.

I think Holy Name of Mary in Valley Stream allows non-parishoners to be married there. The church is very large and even has a soundproof baby room.

Also try St. Kilian's in Farmingdale. The church was renovated and expanded 2 years ago. It can hold 700 and is absolutely beautiful. They also allow non-parishoners to be married there. I think the fee is $500.
