i think the cocktail hour is the best part of the wedding and i wouldn't want to miss that at mine plus i want to get some of the mingling out of the way

we will be attending-- I look at CH as a time to mingle with everyone so we can actually enjoy the reception along with our guests.. and not feel obligated to make trips to every table.

I definitely want to be there also. Me and FI are leaving time between the church and reception to take pictures so we don't miss it.

We are absolutely going! We have so much time in between our ceremony and CH that we will have all our pics done and then we can go mingle!

we are taking pics before the ceremony just so we can attend the coctail hour ...its all up to your personal preference

since we have so many people comming form out of state
we want to spend time with them

also we figure then we wont have to spend as much time at the tables afterwards

Yep! We are attending it----will have time to get all our pics down ahead of time plus making the boat entrance at Chateau La Mer if weather is good

We did our pictures before the cocktail hour so we went in for about 20 minutes before we had to change for the reception and I hated it! I wanted to mingle and have fun at the cocktail hour but we were really just attacked by everyone and I wanted water or wine or something and couldn't even get that. It was very annoying.

I wish I had hung out in the suite instead.

I didn't. I was theonly one in the bridal suite. Everyone else was in the cocktail hour including my dh. lol. It was great. I had all this food to MYSELF!!!!
