I went there once and felt so pressured. They tried to just sell me everything. Never going back!

ive head negative things....but when we went it wasnt so bad. But the guys in the tux dept......omg they sat there and starred at all of us and any other girl who walked past! Made us totally feel uneasy!!
they do have alot too pick from so id go just to get ideas and style #s....then take my business else where!!

No - Helen's Bridal is part of WEDDING WORLD, also in Commack and their service is magnificent!!! I bought my BM dresses from them and they have been wonderful to work with.

Too funny...I felt like a little kid with mean people babysitting me!! I just dont understand...if I was so miserable Id find a different job!

LOL good point!! If you found or do find a dress that you like-- call Burton's with the style number and designer's name! They are great-- that's where I got my gown after I had a bad experience at Bridal Reflections! and it was much cheaper!

You can ALWAYS get the gown somewhere else

Don't settle on the dress b/c the wedding center stunk!!

Definitely try Burtons! Everyone I know uses them and they are great. They will get you any dress you want. They are really good about alterations also... they only charge for bustle and hem.

p.s... i have a friend whose parents are friends with the owners of the wedding center in commack and she wouldn't even use them when she was getting married!

I didn't go there for my dress, but when I asked to see my dress next to the BM dresses, I had to promise under penalty of death that I would bring it back upstairs in 5 minutes!!!
I didn't have a single problem with any of the women downstairs though. They were all really helpful and nice.

I have to tell you that I had absolutely the opposite experience with both my gown and my BMs....Regina helped me with mine and was nothing but attentive and helpful.
When I went with my BMs I think Debbie helped us...She was extremely patient and more than willing to bring us like 25 different dresses.
Sorry to hear about your experience....I guess you just hit it at the wrong time.

I do not like that place at all either...
I went there with my FSIL who is getting married and the ladies were just so rude. She told one of the girls because she is about 6'3 180 pounds (all muscle) not to eat ANYTHING till after the wedding can you image..
So meeeeee with my big mouth said excuse me what did you just say to her. How about you order the dress (bc it was a great price) and well take it elsewhere to get it altered. I also said that I WILL NEVER BE BACK THERE again..
