Confetti Cards

I'm looking to find/make confetti cards (tiny gift cards with a little punched hole to attach to ribbon) to attach to my favors. Does anybody have any idea where I can find these little cards or recommend how I can find the stuff to make them? Any help/recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!!

I must be confused, I thought this was an open forum!

My wedding is Saturday and I won't be posting anymore (except to let you all know how it went!). But for the time that I've been here - I thank you both.

Cindy,

What type of cards exactly are you looking for? Do you want them to have a printed saying on them or just a gift card with a wedding pattern or something just saying "A Gift For You"?? There are different kinds of them and I wasn't sure which you were looking for?

Stephanie

Are you thinking about printing them yourself? check out www.paperdirect.com or any staples/office max type store-- Depending on the size you want you can find colored/white/cream cards of all different sizes and shapes Hope that helps Laura

I'm the last person who wants to get involved in this, but after every posting I get a "new e-mail posting" message. To find out that each one has nothing to do with gowns, halls, dj's, photographers, or any such wedding planning is just downright annoying.

Ding ding ding...the bell has rung, go to your separate corners and let's get civilized.

Confetti Cards

Hi Stephanie, they are tiny little gift cards that I'd like to print our names and wedding date on (they have a tiny little hole punched in them to thread ribbon through to attach to the favors). I wanted to use these instead of the printed ribbons. Have you ever seen them?

Dee brought up a very good point...tux shirt colors...

Cindy: You can buy a ream of hard stock paper in whatever color you would like and then print them. If you have word, you can make text boxes and write what you want. You then cut and paste several on to one sheet, print and wallla! If you have Print Shop Deluxe, which by the way is wonderful, you can actually choose to make a business card, but actually make a card with your own saying. I think it's 10 to a page once you print. It's sooo easy and personal. You'll have so much fun with it. I made my own, my ceremony programs, my address labels to match my invites, memory cards, etc. all on that program. It's only about 29.00 in the store and so easy to install.

We're also serving another dessert - fresh berries and cream so if folks don't want the chocolate they have an option (and the Milleridge also puts butter cookies on the table)

Those are great ideas! Thanks for your advice!

I signed on this morning to see the animosity still lingering! I'm sorry I ever became involved in the conversation of Tipping. I thought I was allowed to give my opinion. I think we should all go back to what were doing before that topic of discussion. NO ONE should be afraid to give an opinion, but we should, including myself, hold back on insults to anyone or coming off that way. I agree with that! Let's try to get along and go forward from here. Wendy, I think every bride or groom on this site is capable of having a relationship and we are all getting married, or have just gotten married and, therefore, let's hold back on comments such as people not being capable of being married. That hurt!

Confetti Cards

Cindy, Kate is right about the hard stock paper. I bought paper in a nice stationary store across from my office for $.18 a piece but was able to use Word Perfect and simulate labels (the size of address labels) and just (color) print them out that way...I used them for my engagement party favors instead of the ribbon...just my name and fiancee's name, "Engagement Party", and date...I even imported a little daisy on them to add some fun....you can cut them with a cool-shaped scissor....this way you can choose the font, picture, and what you want to say....just punch a hole and put them on whatever you want.....

I'm also getting married at Milleridge and wanted to know how you went about ordering your cake. Can you have any combination of cake/filling that you want or do they have a set list? Also, when did you order your cake?

Thanks for your help. (And best of luck on your wedding day!! I'm sure it will be spectacular!)
