Coral House

I finally picked a place being the wedding is on July 16th I picked the coral house if anyone has been there please do tell me you input good news and bad news is welcome Misty

David and Goliath..good analogy and you are right. I have the name and how to contact for consumer advocates because that was my next step with this place. A crying bride breaks my heart because I was just there not too long ago and cryed because of the same person. I dont know how he sleeps at night.

They tried to order a dress that was two sizes too large for me (I know the dresses run small but give me a break I'm not that stupid). I had to insist on them ordering the size I wanted. Luckily I was right, otherwise the alterations necessary would have been like making a new dress. I think they did that to try to get more money by making it a plus size dress.I ended up having my dress altered elsewhere because they wanted to do the first fitting the week of the wedding.

Coral House

Hi Misty,

I've been to several sites in Long Island and Queens and I have to tell you it's a toss up b/w The Coral House and The Douglaston Manor. The Coral House has very good food, we went for a taste test and fell in love. We also walked the grounds and they were pretty clean and well taken care of. As for the rooms we were a bit iffy on them because we are not having that many guest and the rooms they offered were small. Although we may not meet the required 100 even if we have 90 I feel the room they suggested will not comfortably fit all of our guest. The banquet manager Neil was very pleasant, cooperative and patient w/ us. Your in good hands I checked them out w/ the BBB and they have an excellent report. The best of Good Luck! Let us know how everything turned out.

Coral House

I am having my wedding at the Coral House July 28 this year. My fiance and I decided to go with them because the food was really good and the people were very nice. Also, the grounds offer places for photos. And they include quite a lot in their offer. Hope you have a great time there! Be sure and tell me how it goes! By the way, is Misty your real name? I had a friend whose nickname was Misty and I've lost touch with her. My mom did tell me that she's getting married because she saw an engagement picture in the paper. Just curious...

I don't know if this helps but if you purchased the dress with a credit card you can contact your credit card company explain the situation and they will usually credit back your account and then get their money back from the wedding center. It might be worth looking into if this is how you paid.
