I completely understand. I am facing the same thing right now. My dad has end-stage lung cancer and we do not know how things will go. It does not look good...

We are not postponing anything because it is a bad omen in his culture...

A very sad and scary time for you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. My aunt passed away from cancer last summer, and my officiant has suggested some wonderful ways of remembering her during the ceremony. Maybe you can do something like that in his memory.
