Debbie - Everything will be fine

Just to maybe make you feel a little better, even if a little bit. I went to try my gown on 3 or 4 weeks ago and they never ordered me a new one. They put the one on the rack away and called me 6 months later and said it was in. They ordered me a brand new dress about 3 weeks ago and I just this week got proof from them that they actually ordered one this time. They said it would be in 2nd week of April. The Sales confirmation from Ginza says 4/30. My wedding is 5/26. I'm not even panicked, but I probably should be. I figure worst case, I get my money back and go buy another dress even if I have to off the rack. I don't want that to happen, but I'm prepared. I was very upset myself, but I try to keep thinking good thoughts and I actually do trust my dress shop owner. Don't ask why! I just know from the past she has a wonderful reputation and everyone I know is happy with her. Think Good Thoughts, breathe and go with the flow. I realized that getting upset only affects me. We all know we don't need anymore of that stuff. Stressed Enough right?

Debby, I hope all works out with your dress. I can't even imagine how upset you must be. Please let us know how you're doing.

I know how horrible you must feel, I too have had problems with the Commack Wedding Center in the past (with bridesmaid dresses). If you had felt so strongly at the time that the dress was too short, you should have refused to pay for it. I would have stood there and screamed until I got my way. They have one seamstress who is absolutely terrible. If you leave with the dress and sign the receipt, then legally the wedding center is not responsible. However by making what happened known to the Better Business Bureau, the news or everyone you can think of, if he has any conscience, he will do the right thing. Take the advice that everyone had left and go to another seamstress. Don't let something so minor as a hem ruin your special day. It is not worth it.
