DEMETRIOS DRESSES!

Hi girls!

I have a problem. Today I went to Macy's in Manhasset to try on some gowns. I went with some in mind and tried on 4 dresses, 3 of which I love. The last dress I tried on is my favorite but its totally out of my budget. I absolutely love the dress (Demetrios Princess Style #9609).

Do you know of any places (stores or websites) that would carry Demetrios for less? Or know or seen any dresses similar?

Please help! I'm so sad that I won't be able to have that dress

gownfind.com Ohyllis is great and she can get demetrios. She lives in Northport! She will also do alterations for you.

Try netbride.com. You can even call Burton's. They can sometimes get you a dress for a couple hundred dollars less. Good luck!

CALL BURTONS in HUNTINGTON with the Desinger name and the style # and see how much they can get it for!!!!!!!!

My friend had the same problem. She called RK bridal and got quoted a little lower, then she called commack wedding center ( both places give price quotes over the phone if you know the name and style #) and it was $400 cheaper.
Netbride came in with the least expensive quote (almost $600 cheaper) but since it was a tulle skirt and needed to be measured exactly we went to macy's and they matched commack's price.

I also love Demetrios I found that one of the online places was half the price. Fantasia in Rocky Point was $200 cheaper.

Macy's will match another stoeres prices however be warned that they will refuse to do alterations on the dress so you may need to find a good seamstress. I had a demetrios gown and saw it at macy's ---fell in love with it---we to commack wedding center and they quoted me I believe 400 cheaper

Unfortuntaly my mom did not like the service at commack and she felt for the extra 400 it was worth it to stay with Macy's

Sometimes Macy's dpes have sales on their gowns--I got mine around valentine's day and they gave me a 15% dicount and a free veil (that part was my mom's good negoation tactics )

Charmet in Bayside carries the Demetrios dresses and they are extremely reasonable plus alterations are included in the price!!!!!

I had the same issue as you. Everywhere I went it was so much money. My Dress is 2705.

I found this shop that actually didnt have the dress there but ordered it for me.

I saved $600 on the dress, plus I got my head piece veil and alterations included.

Valentina's is the name of the place its in Brooklyn though.

Or you can wait until they have another trunk show. I happened to buy my dress at Macys in Manhasset the week they were having one and they gave me 20%. I had no clue the sale was even going on. When I was putting the deposit down on the gown, she told me. I had no clue. Call them and see when the next one is. I went about a month ago.

I ended up finding my demetrios dress at another store for cheaper which also included alterations. It was about $150 cheaper & ended up saving me money on alterations. Macys matched the price. After hearing so many stories about bridal salons going out of business I wanted to get my dress at a big store that has many locations (just my personal preference). Most stores can get you the dress cheaper than macys but if the dress is way out of your budget I don't know if you will be able to find it in your budget. I know peopel have saved anywhere from 100 to 400 on a dress which I am all for. Most stores can order you the dress just call around & ask some will give you quotes over the phone some won't. The dress is beautiful though & I hope you end up finding it.

Try Burtons in Melville...It depends on the line it's from. For instance, I ordered my Demetrios gown from Macy's, and b/c it is from the Platinum line, Macy's is the ONLY place I could get it. Good luck!
