Just so you know, most bridal places will not let men in. I brought my FH with me to a bridal place when I was a BM in a wedding last year and there was absolutely no one else in the place and they still wouldn't let him past the entraceway.

But you do what you want to do. It's your wedding. You have to be happy.

What?! They won't let him in?! If there is an open dressing room, then I could understand, but for them not to let men in to a showroom sounds to me like sex discrimination!

Wow, i have NEVER heard of anyone taking their FH dress shopping and I can't understand why you would want to. In my opinion, it's fun to have something as a surprise. I'm not a big traditionalist but that is one thing I would never budge on. i can't wait to see the look on his face when he sees me in my dress coming down the aisle and just keep in mind that you won't get to experience that.

ETA: the store I bought my dress from doesn't even allow men beyond a certain point in the store.

FH will be coming with me when I go for my measurements next week and fittings when I come back from Italy. Can't help it, he's my ride!

Actually the dress will be a surprise to both of us. I haven't sclue as to what it will look like. It's a gift from my godmother who makes gowns!

hi fellow halloween bride

noe didnt take my dh - he doesnt have the patience for dress shopping - i could just inagine him there looking like ' are we done yet?'
would have been a disaster

Gee, I was lucky to get him to go hall shopping. There was no way I would have ever gotten him into a dress shop. Plus, my mother would have KILLED me if I brought him along!!

Honestly, I wanted him to go shopping with me, I have been getting his opinion for so many years it was so hard to make the decision without him. But I did it and I'm glad he will be surprised.

I am not bringing him shopping with me, but I have been showing him the ones that I like and asking if he likes them
Whichever one I choose even if he sees it will be different on then in a pic!
