I fell in love immediately but there was a problem getting the dress to me so I chose another. Then like a few months before the wedding they were able to get the style in and sure enough I changed on the spot. I coulnt be happier..go with your gut.

Re: Did you really fall in love with your dress as soon as you put it on?

I went to about 6 or 7 different salons and tried on numerous dresses at each.

Finally, I took a day off from work and went with my mom to try on dresses at Princess Bridals in Farmingdale (this place was recommended by a neighbor).

The place was empty, I was the only bride there and I had the attention of 2 sales consultants and the owner. So, I felt pretty special.

I picked out about 5 dresses and started trying them on. At this point, I had tried on enough dresses to determine styles I DID NOT want. The first 2 I tried on were very heavy (I was a summer bride and wanted a dress that was light and comfortable). The 3rd one I tried on was very nice. Since no one was in the salon, I walked around the place with the dress on. The longer I stayed in it, the more I liked it. It had all the qualities I wanted (light, small train, not a lot of bead work, etc). Plus, it was pretty comfortable.

Everyone agreed the dress was great and I ended up buying it. It was perfect.

You will know when you find the dress. Just take your time!

Good Luck

I didn't LOVE mine on the hanger, but I was kinda drawn to it....and once I put it on I liked it...then when I tried it on again with the slip and veil, I fell in love and started crying
