We are doing a donation to the Autism Society. I teach children with autism and it is something very important to me. I am going to print out a card with the explanation of the autism ribbon and make autism awareness ribbons to attach to the cards.

LOVE THIS! My nephew has autism, what a great society to donate too.

We donated to St. Jude's Children's Hospital and our guests loved it.

We donated to the American Cancer Society in place of favors...they send you a scroll for each guest (there is a selection of wording) that tells them that you made a donation in their name and you can either make a general donation, a memorial donation for someone you know, or a donation for someone you know who is currently battling cancer/survivor. My mother has cancer and she is going through treatments and we thought it would be a great way to give back, plus the guests will appreciate it more than just a small token they will keep dusty on a shelf somewhere,..just an idea!

My wedding day favors were the 'white barn vases' from Ikea. I bought a whole bunch of them, as each is different and gave them as favors - they were $1.99 ea. Everyone loved them. You may want to check Ikea out for some ideas.

I donated to St. Judes Childrens Hospital so everyone got a bookmark from there and then I also gave out the two peas in a pod salt and pepper shakers.
