Actually i was pleasantly surprised, I LOVED THE GLOVES.. they made my arms look thinner, i guess cuz they took away from the upper fatter part of my arm.. I was so against gloves, then I tried them on and loved them.. i say try them to see first.. you can never tell!!

I think it depends on how well the gloves fit. If they are too tight or too shiny they will make your arms look fat, but if they are well fitting and maybe even flare out a bit on the top and they are matte, they should be flattering

I agree. I think they usually make your arms look fatter because they have to be somewhat tight at the top to stay up.

I think it's harder for a lot of brides to pull off the gloves that come above the elbow because it draws attention to your upper arm--especially if they are tight and pinch the skin around it. I think everyone looks good in gloves that end just below the elbow.

Yeah, my gloves only come to my mid-arm - I love them with my dress. I think that if you have 'bigger' upper arms than gloves that come past the elbow my accentuate and squeeze it up?? Can you picture what I'm saying? I see it in my head, don't know if I explained it well.

I think if you're self-conscious about your upper arms, skip the gloves, they definetly draw attention to that area.

i think that ooera length made my arms look alot better but the elbow length looked great with my dress and looked elegant and flattering

I think if your arms are thin already, gloves look nice and add elegance. But if your upper arms are not thin, any long gloves (below or above the elbow) will draw attention to the arm overall. Not to mention that if they are tight at the top, it make the upper arm look bigger because of the squishing. Plus I think they make the lower arm look more slender which in turn makes the upper arm look bigger.

I want all my BM's to wear gloves but this is the #1 thing I hear from them... 'My arms are going to look so fat. I just know it, the fat on my upper arm is going to drap over the glove' I don't know! I like the look though....

I don't know but my BP and I are all wearing gloves. It looks so much more elegant to me.
