Sometimes we do, sometimes we don't. We never agreed on war though. I'm a little more liberal I guess when it comes to that.

I agree with you 100%. I say it all the time and it drives me crazy when people just go with the general consensus on something or take the opinion of whichever party they allign themselves with without fully understanding the issue or deciding what is right for them personally. I have this problem frequently at work because I will not just go with the flow and take so and so's position on an issue as gospel.

I have been a registered democrat since my 18th birthday. Up until I was financially independent, I voted as my parent's did. When I started to LIVE independently, I was a city resident, I started voting for who I thought would do the best job regardless of political affiliation. HOWEVER, I often exercise my right NOT to vote. In other words, I appreciate and honor the right to vote and I will go to the polls because, in many countries, women cannot vote at all. But I sometimes choose not to pull a lever. I cannot vote for a candidate I don't believe in.

Re: Do you and your FH / Husband agree politically?

Nope. It made for a pretty interesting the discussion the other night too. I'm a total Bush hater (and to think, pre-election he ALMOST converted me!!!) and he is one of those.... whaddayacallits... republicans.

Re: Do you and your FH / Husband agree politically?

For the most part. I tend to be more liberal; as far as social issues go, we see eye to eye. But our biggest differences currently lie with the man who sleeps in the White House. He likes him; I hate him.

I've also found that the female is more likely to be liberal while the male is more likely to be conservative.

Re: Do you and your FH / Husband agree politically?

FH is the least politically minded person ever. He really just doesn't lean one way or another, while I lean WAY left. His family leans to the right - so I definitely don't agree with them (I'm glad FH is in the center and not to the right though!)

Re: Do you and your FH / Husband agree politically?

I am so grateful to say that we are both on the same side with all the tough spots: Politics, Religion (for the most part), and the Yankees. I don't think I could've married him if we weren't.
