I am doing black dresses too...and a pick your own, so they at least they have a 10% shot at using the dress again, LOL BUt i think it's elegant, and I know my bridesmaids are bowing down that I didn't put them in some outlandish color.

Not at all! I think black is always beautiful. Unless they are very conservative, funeral type dresses, it will not look morbid. That is outdated information!

I love black. It's not very 'traditional', but that word has been annoying me lately. Start a new tradition. If you like black, go for it. I would def. punch up the dresses with a colorful sash or something.

NO! Not at all! Its a color that will go w/everything, every color and also a slimming color!

I wore a black dress for my friends wedding as a BM. We looked great!

I was just in a BP this weekend and we wore black and it was so nice! We all said we could wear it again and all the ppl (even the older guests) loved the dresses!

I toyed with the idea too. I decide I liked burgundy better. But, I think all black looked a little morbid when we got down to ordering the dresses. Black w/ White looks nice though.

My girls are wearing black-and they are thrilled. I was wore black in a bridal party and I wore the dress again. I have other dresses that I spent a fortune on and they just sit in the closet. I say go for it!!!!!

Are you kidding? Black is so regal...my friends BM wore black (the whole black gloves too) and her pics are beautiful. I say go for it.

I like black dresses, but I would suggest colorful flowers and maybe jewelry that has a colorful stone.

Also, have you considered a black gown with some color trim?
