I love it-but I know the old folks will not understand (my mother, his mother) they will think its weird

I love black too, but definitely certain older folks from different backgrounds (especially any european) will have issues. If you like it go for it. Black looks good on anyone, and it goes with everything.

I like black. I have this one BM dress that I want. If I select it....black would be the color. Unfortunately FH made one request-he doesn't care what color I select for the BP as long as it's not black. Black photgraphs so well and is so classy. If you have a dress in mind...go for it!

I was debating on this as well, since my BM's said they prefer red or black and every wedding in my family so far has had red dresses, and the dress I fell in love with for the BMs only looks good in black.

I want to do black, but my parents think it's more for a funeral. Plus so many guests usually wear little black dresses to weddings and I'm fearing they will blend with the BMs. I'm still debating on the color however, but I do have time!!!

I think its elegant and great that they can wear the dress again! Plus any flowers will go with it

No - I love them in person, but personally I don't like how they photograph.
