I dont think its says on The license thats its his second marriage.. I did the same thing with my priest

you did!?! Wow... I don't feel so bad now! My friend showed me her marriage license, and it says under marriage: FIRST.

FH was divorced, but never married in a church. Our priest wanted to see the actual divorce papers before he would agree to doing the ceremony for us. Better to be honest about the whole thing. Good luck!!!

Our church would want to see 'proof' that the marriage 'wasn't in a church'. How do you prove that?!?!?!

I think she was saying that YOUR church would need to see the divorce papers. It has nothing to do with not being married in a church the first time.
