I LOVE duck!!!

we had it as one of our choices at our engagement party and lots of people ordered it, so we will definately have it as an option at the reception!!!

DH and I both love duck so we decided to do duck over chicken - esp since I wasn't too impressed with the chicken choices. It was a big hit. We also had four entree choices so there were other options for those not into the duck.

I ONLY eat chicken, and I don't eat duck because of the texture and the fat content. I would still do it if I were you. If that's what you want, then have it. In that case, I would just opt for the 'silent' vegetarian option.

I love duck too. We had it as an option at my shower. We had lobster and shrimp risotto, some steak, and the duck. Only 5 people selected the duck. I would say there was 65 people at the shower.

I would go with what you want. If you love duck and want to eat it (or try to find time to eat it) at your wedding, you should have it as an option. People eat chicken all the time, this is a great way for people to experiment if they never had it before. Also, I figure most people are stuffed from the cocktail hour by the time their dinners come, they barely eat anything.

I would say chicken would be the favorite of the two. Even though it's YOUR wedding you want your guests to be happy. JMO

Id pick chicken- There are people who dont eat red meat- nor fish! ( Fi only eats chicken). I just think chicken is a more popular choice but hey its your day!

i love duck - but to err on the side fo caution i would choose chicken - a lot of people choose the chicken dish

i love duck too--- but i'd pick chicken for the guests. some aren't as adventurous (though i don't consider duck strange or out of the ordinary)

Knowing my family, it would've been a travesty if there wasn't a chicken option. If I had my heart set on duck, I would probably replace the fish option with the duck, but that's just me. Barely anybody ordered fish at our wedding. We had a lot of fish in our cocktail hour though.

the only meat i eat is chicken and turkey, so i would have a big problem if chicken wasn't offered.

chicken seems more practical, but do what you want since it's your day.

IMO I'd go w/ the chicken...that's always a safe bet.

I'm sure they could serve YOU duck that day if you wanted.

I'd be a bit leery as like someone said if duck isn't made exactly the right way, it will be greasy/fatty.

If you had 4 choices, then I'd say go w/ both.

In the end, its YOUR day and you should do as you & FH wish.
