Re: Fireworks at my wedding

Was that a or a statement? I was looking into getting fireworks at mine since it's on the water and the prices weren't as bad as I thought they'd be. Have you checked out any good places?

Actually, it was the Grucci website that I saw!! Someone did fireworks at Glen Island (there's a pic on the website) and my banquet manager told me it cost $17,000!!! When I saw if for around $3000, I was like...'hmm, that's almost affordable!'

Re: Fireworks at my wedding..

I wonder what exactly the 'grand illumination' looks like though? When you look at the rest of the prices on their list, I'm worried it would be 2 guys setting off cherry bombs or something

Re: Fireworks at my wedding..

Ok, ok, I am bringing everyone down to earth. At the bottom it said that doesn't include government fees, licenses, insurance, putting up the workers at a hotel, set up fees- I think in the end you are looking at around 10000! I am totally in love with the idea of fireworks since mine is right on the water but its a budget buster!!!!

I'm getting married on the 4th and there is no way I want fireworks that much. YIKES! three grand... I'd rather put it towards other things... yes, it will be sparklers for me. We'll tell the guests they can go back to their rooms and put on the tv to channel 4

Re: Fireworks at my wedding..

I say if you love the idea then both you and FH should do some extra work to get it. Whether it be overtime at your job or getting a part time job until you get the money you need.

I have 2 jobs and it helps tons.
