I decided to go to the showcase last minute, stayed for about 1 1/2 hours...didn't win anything from the raffle but it was so nice to see FT in person and up close again.

I was there too! I stayed only like half hour, talked to a few of the vendors and then left. I just love being there.. What did they raffle off?

My sister is getting married there in Feb and trying to block off rooms. Where is everyone else getting rooms? We are thinking the Wingate in Garden City and the Ramada in Bayside. Any other options?

I blocked my rooms at the wingate inn. They are so nice to work with, got the best rate and the most for your money.

We had a food tasting after we booked. We actually booked in Jan and went in July to taste. We had the food at the sandcastle and its the same owners so knew it was good. We heard nothing but good things about the food and lemme tell u its awesome!!!

That's actually a REALLY good question. I didn't think about that. I know I was going to use the bridal suite and the ceremony room for some of the pictures, but I never thought about beyond that.

Let me know what you guys decide.

I know there are a few really nice parks in Floral Park, but I'm not sure I want to leave my reception for pictures.

We're taking our pictures at Old Westbury Gardens. We haven't seen the place in person yet, but Dom (12th night) also took his wedding pictures there, so we can't go wrong.

I am not getting married at Floral Terrace, my ceremony is in church in Woodside, Queens so I would go take pictures before I go to Floral Terrace. Being that your ceremony is at Floral Terrace, it may just make sense to take pictures in their Garden Room and Ballroom.

The Garden City Gazebo is about a 15 minute drive from Floral Terrace, right across the street from the Garden City Hotel.
