$140 for cp's is a bit high IMO. I am getting high cp's for $95. I also have a large BP and am have 20 cp's and am paying over $1000 less than you quote!

YOu can save money by going with Milleridge's included CP's!!! I looked there and thought that was the greatest thing about Milleridge. Why don't you want those? Just pay a little extra to get more flowers in it.....just do those pretty rose bowls they offer but tell them you want them bigger - more flowers than they offer. It's not much more $ b/c I asked her about that when I looked there.

CP's are SO expensive it's crazy...def. go with a low for Milleridge. I think tall is too much for that room.

I would definitely cut out the alter pieces, the pew bows, and the staircase ribbon. Then if you still want to save some money, go with low centerpieces. They would look very pretty as well! By doing all of this you could probably get a quote that is at least $1,000 less than what you were originally quoted. Good Luck! Keep us posted on what you decided to do.

I don't know what kind of flowers were included in your quote, but this could also add mucho money to your quote. Perhaps changing the makeup of your centerpieces could bring the price down.

of course it depends on what kind of flowers you are getting... but that sounds like a good price to me and i've heard great things on here about that particular florist.

I had 20 centerpieces and paid less--However, this was for 2005 and I think it depends on the flowers you choose also. Talk to John about cutting costs and how u can save-he will work with you.

You may want to change your flowers in the arangement to bring down the cost.

John will work with you but you must be willing to bend a little.

i got what i thought was a crazy quote from flower michelle compared to what i have been seeing on the boards from everyone else - i think the only additional thing i have from what you posted was candles at the cocktail hour and some flowers on the mantel - nothing crazy - i only have 4 girls - the quote i got was $5500!

That price def. had to do with the type of flowers you wanted.

Hi ladies, I just got back from meeting with John at Flower Michele. Here is my quote:

Bridal bk
7 bridesmaid bk
groom/groomsmen bout
2 corsages for mothers
2 bout for fathers
1 corsage for grandmother
2 alter arrangements
pew bows
16 centerpieces raised silver spiral with candles / flowers
staircase drape and bows

My quote came to $3,900.00.... I really didn't want to spend this much on flowers, but I'm not sure how I would cut costs....HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Without photos of exactly what you are getting, I cannot say if your quote is high or low Roses are not an expensive flower although I have seen quotes of $3 per rose from some brides on this site. Carnations are inexpensive and orchids are very pricey and there are tons of price points in between.

We contacted a lot of florists. If you go in with a set budget, the florist will work around that amount and give you options that fit within your budget.

Also, to save on the quote you currently have, use centerpieces for the ceremony (on pillar stands)and skip the pew bows.

try Designs by Rose...my quote is much cheaper...i have 6 BM...however i dont know what your CP looks like, i chose a high CP myself im also having purple(lavendar) roses...FM me if you need details

a low CP would probably be less expensive too.

what type of flowers are you having? That will affect it too.

I must say John will work within your budget, just let him know how much your are willing to spend and where you can cut costs. John is a dear and would prefer to work with you to make your dreams come true than turn you away. His work is also excellent.

Maybe you can alternate between high and low centerpieces. Do 1/2 high and 1/2 low. That should save you some money.
