New "food" for thought

Thanks to all of you that have spoken to me about Jericho Terrace. I do intend to dig as deep as I can until I find a place that can meet our needs. I am sure we'll be in contact much more before the "big day." It's nice to have someone to go through the steps with and look forward to hearing how everyone is doing with their plans as well.

At my shower, my FSIL gave me lingere. I felt a little awkward - b/c I'll obviously be using it when I'm having sex w/her brother!! Not that they don't know that we are having sex, but its not on the forefront of our dialogue (know what I mean?)

I had to hold it up in front of his mom, his aunts...i was so embarrassed. : (

what's going on here....why take pot shots at each other and take these view points to heart!!!!! i am not personally insulting you! these are helpful view points that i and other girls have made. we may not always agree with everyones opinion, so fine. but to feel that you have to retaliate isn't fair, after all it was jeanine that was asking not you! i'm sure she is pleased hearing both positive and negative viewpoints on jericho terrace. it is not a direct insult to you even if you chose this place...good for you! everyone is entitled to there own opinion!everyplace is not perfect! and everyplace isn't the best! it is for the individual that is choosing it, right! i like vanilla and you like chocolate, i'm sure we could make an argument about both.....so remember we are not to be made enemies while we are sharing advice and view points to help each other....don't be insulted if someone chooses another hall over the one you chose just be confident in that it was right for you! so the other girls that you felt are against you, and i, are not. we are only sharing our thoughts, but only to help, not hurt...take care.

barbara - i am not sure who you are referring to about your comment and I was not defending the place i am having my wedding at. it was the first negative comment that i heard and would not cancel because of some negative comments - i appreciated your comments and honesty and shared this information with the jericho terrace. we have all heard good and bad on this chat room and cannot take anything personal.

Karen, how did you make out? I haven't gone the Milleridge (I like in queens & am car-less) I'll be going in the next few weeks.

First of all, let me start out by saying that I am not offended nor insulted by Barbara's or Susan's comments regarding Jericho Terrace. I did not write what I wrote to start an arguement. In fact, you completely took my comment out of context. I was just stating that Susan had a lot of nerve to tell the board the only reason Caroline & Lorraine praised Jericho was b/c it was their hall.

Barbra, I did not take your account of that wedding in an different way. Nor did I take an argumentative stand as if I was insulted by your comment. Actually I wasn't even responding to your post. But personally I appreciate honesty when it comes to vendor experiences. I would definitely want to know everything and anything bad about avendor that I was doing business with. That is why I frequent this board. Please do not take my comment to Susan personally.

susan- just needed to respond to one comment you made - aren't you contradicting yourself talking about the great showcase you were at??? i am sure they were on there best behavior!!!! i am curious as to where your reception is being held and if someone was to make a negative comment about it if you would not "praise" it... I was simply saying that my experiences with them were positive. i hope we all have great experiences on our wedding days!

I guess alot depends on your personality & expectations. We are going to Sandals Bahamas the first week of April, so I will post my thoughts when I return.
